I was JUST about to start a thread concerning how he is fitting in.
Yao seems to be getting comfortable playing with his new teammates, they even awarded him with own armband! (without #11). This is fun watching him evolve. Next, Yao will be rocking a tattoo!

You guys have no idea about the person (Yao Ming)! He is a pure person and isnt given to affectations and decorations like the majority of Basketball Players! Dont expect anything but Basketball from Yao Ming!

Speaking of armbands, has anyone noticed lately that Moochie isnt wearing all the excess gear he was at the beggining of the season? Before, he was wearing the headband and two armbands along with the long socks. Now, the headband and armbands are gone. Im glad. I think all the excess gear was weighing him down. :p

    Believe it.

    Why? Because I've been there...

A fit weight of 180lbs, and then you take
a winter off, and you can balloon up to
    200+ easy!

    I've done it.

Especially if you hit the weights, and then you
    hit the doughnuts. :D

Old age will do it too! :)

    Question to all:

I was watching one of the games last week, and during a timeout, the shot on TV went to a low camera angle along the floor. During that shot I saw the legs of the Rockets players, and I noticed what looked like a basketball tattoo with some lettering over it on one of the player's calves. The shot was too far away to tell what the letters were.
From the size of the leg and the color, I thought it might have been YM. If it was, it would jibe with his love of the game for him to have a tattoo of a basketball on his leg.

Question is, has anyone else noticed this? and if so, who has the tat?

Well I was just thinking, when I played high school and junior college ball back in the early/mid 90s, I was 6'2'' and 205, and I considered myself a little thick for my size/height. Now, Im up to 235 (I got married and took off the uniform) and consider myself to be officially fat. :D

Mooch is what.....6'1''? He just didnt look 230 last year. Im thinking if he was that heavy, he would have looked like a bowling ball on legs (like i do now) and would have had a gut like some of the rest of us old farts. I just think he was embelished a little about his dramatic weight loss.
