Did anyone else catch the report on ESPN that he is probably going to be cut and head toward the Ravens because he "doesn't want to mentor a rookie QB". I thought that's exactly what he was supposed to be to VY and was a key element in why the Titans might go with Young over Leinart. Anyone hear anything else about this. Sounded extremely weird considering it contradicts everything I've ever heard.
that is really weird! i thought they were good buddies, maybe an ego is getting in the way of a good thing...............
Maybe they have decided to go with Leinhart since he will most likely be available due to the saints picking up drew brees. I wonder if McNair disagreed with the decision and is afraid that the more NFL ready Leinart could steal his job.
Perhaps the Titans are favoring Leinart and McNair prefers Young. If they pick Young, he might not have made the statement.
wow, de ja vu, the same thing happened with him and chris chandler, chandler supposedly wasn't willing to help mentor him. he didn't want to mentor a guy to take his job. can't blame chandler.
maybe the Texans can pick him up. Everytime somebody gets cut in the NBA, you always see Player X cut, should we pick him up. He fills our holes.
Wow, this is pretty big news. Wasn't McNair just saying that he would like to do some coaching and that he has a clause in his contract to do so? I guess he only wants to mentor VY. The Titans are in a good position to get Leinart.
I wonder if he'd be willing to sign for cheap if we drafted VY? Having McNair mentor VY for 1-2 years a perfect situation IMO.
Hasn't there been enough evidence that we won't draft Young? Now you want your cake and eat it too. Let it go.
Ya, signing a DE, MLB, TE, and Center are clear indications. You have to admit though, the idea of bringing McNair back to H-Town is an interesting thought. Bringing in Moulds and McNair along w/ Putzier/AJ/DD/Mathis would be better than having Carr with that group.
