Excuse me for not following everything Kobe related, but the last three incident with Kobe, that I am aware of, on the court involved 3 white players. First, it was Miller, then Manu and now Jaric. Does he have enough balls to challenge someone that could knock him into the third row? Someone with insight please enlighten me on this.
I think he's also had run-ins with Bruce Bowen and Chris Childs. According to Ronnie Nunn, what Kobe did to Ginobili was an "unnatural act of basketball"...it's not about the intent of an action according to the NBA, it's about the action itself and the result. Personally, I think Kobe does that exaggerated motion because he's trying to draw a foul, but why he's doing so doesn't matter according to NBA rules as interpreted by the Director of Officials Ronnie Nunn. The main point is that the swinging arm action is in itself exaggerated, unnecessary, and causes harm. That's ruled as a blow to the head that is not done in a natural basketball motion. So Kobe is going to have to not do that anymore, for if the NBA and Ronnie Nunn is consisten, Kobe will get suspended again.
He nailed Jaric in the face with his elbow last night. Twas similar to what he did to Manu last month (or was it december?), but not as bloody.
Kobe picked up boxing. I don't think anyone here could kick his butt in a real fight. He hit Reggie Miller last year? with one punch and I read that hurt him pretty bad.
Kobe got in one black guys face (Chris Childs) and regretted it. He knows what's up. Didn't bother swinging on Raja did he? Now all he does is get in white guys faces pointing his finger in Nash's face, elbowing Miller, Jaric, half white Bibby, Manu and you seea trend. He should be suspended for his history of doing this and because the league needs to let him know he can't just come out the gates like Karl Malone.
Actually he was smart enough to walk away. BTW - if I were RB I'd be glad Kobe did walk away. Regardless, he was one guy who obviously didn't buy into Kobe's 'repertoire'.
Walk away? He wasn't going to do anything. Matter of fact it was Kobe who was elbowing Raja on post ups. Don't give me that like he's some tough guy from the streets. You know Kobe would've gotten whipped just like Reggie Miller did him.
Or maybe it was Raja that was flopping: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6YbIpXxMm1M"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6YbIpXxMm1M" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
I don't believe every/any guy has to be Kermit Washington on the court. There's a smart way to act and getting tossed and suspended isn't it. So, yes, I give Kobe props for not escalating the Bell incident. Would Kobe be able to hold his own? Looking at his physique I'd have to guess yes, he'd be a handful to mess with. I respect that he doesn't prove it. I disrespect his Manu/Jaric arm clear out after a shot challenge. It is punk.
