My 13 year-old son and I are driving to San Antonio tomorrow morning and going to Fiesta Texas. We will spend the night on Thursday and also on Friday if there are enough things to do. What can we do all day Friday? Don't bother with Sea World because we've done that 3 times in the past and it's boring after the first time. Someone else is paying for this so just give me a few things that a 13 year-old would find interesting enough for one day. Thanks.
Hell it's hard enough to find things a grown up would find interesting!! But there are the haunted Railroad tracks.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txrj5OrsX8Y&feature=related
What is there to do at the Riverwalk besides eat and take a boat ride? Can it occupy more than 60-90 minutes of time? We are NOT going to shop. Just hang out together.
You could always find FORMER Rockets Power Dancers who are now Spers Members* *If I feel like it, i'll get to the story.
A good Mexican restaraunt and the boat ride are both well worth your time. Food is great, and the boat tour is pretty cool if you've never been to SA before. You could EASILY blow and hour and a half at the Riverwalk. I know you said you don't want to shop, but the mall on the riverwalk has an I-Max theater in it.. and it's a pretty cool mall imo.
There is a haunted house and a mirror maze across the street from the Alamo. Also, there is a Ripley's believe it or not museum and I think a Guiness book of world records museum across from the Alamo as well. At least there used to be these places there, I haven't been down there in about two years even though I have to live in this horrible city.
If you like scenery, take a short trip on Bandera rd/Texas 16 and head towards Helotes and see the hill country.Plenty of beautiful landscape and picturesque small towns on this road.
That haunted house and the Ripley's museum are pretty cool. Just go to the Alamo and check out the places around it like that.
There's a decent zoo there. Natural bridge caverns is pretty close to SA. and I agree that everyone should check out the Alamo at least once.
