anybody knows where the talk stands? Any rumors about whether he will sign? how much? Looks like Rox won't get Brand or any other first tier PF this season. With Kidds staying with Nets, Spurs will focus on getting a PF, and they have more money to offer.
JP is staying and why in the world would Spurs focus on getting a PF? they have Tim Duncan for god's sick.
Tim Duncan can play center, and it is easier to find a PF than a center nowadays. So I would guess Spurs will look for a quality PF and move Duncan to 5. The only center they can get is probably B. Miller, but he doesn't stand a chance in the West. Duncan/Brand is much better than Duncan/Miller, don't you agree?
Two gentle Power Forwards together? Brand can play well without the ball, especially in Rebounding Shot Blocking and pasing. Sort of like they will have two of a kind! I dont like the idea of Duncan trying to be the Center, it will throw their game off kilter because sometimes he plays a pivot Passing Guard.
who do you think Spurs will go after? O'neal, mailman, Zo, PJ, Howard, Payton, Kidds are all set. There is no other big names out there. I don't think they will be able to get an upgrade on their guard positions. And they need a big guy and that is where they are going to spend their money at. Unless they work on a blockbuster trade to bring in KG, Brand is their best option and there is nothing to stop them getting him.
