Why is everybody so upset that the Rockets might not make the playoffs? The Rockets are at the beginning stage of rebuilding this organization. Four of the starters have had four years or less experience and two years or less playing on the same team. Even if the Rockets don't make the playoffs this season it is still better than last season, record-wise. It's like Cuttino said in that episode of The Life: "Me and Steve will do some great things here, it won't be overnight though."

Some people don't have as much patience. I like to win, and I hate the fact that they won't make the playoffs. I LOVE the feeling of playoff intensity. There is nothing like it. I'm sorry, but I can't feel positive about the Rockets until they start getting results. Results with meaning.
I have a winning personality. I love to win. It hurts to be in the lottery. I am still a fan, but it just isn't as much fun following their development in the season. I'd rather watch them develop in the post season. But that's just me...

Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan.

ZRB--hey I can respect that...can't say I agree with you, though, but that's ok since this point of contention is totally subjective.

Personally, while yes, it was tough to see the Rockets lose games last year and go through their worst season in quite some time, I have to say last year was the most fun I had had watching Rockets games in the previous 2 or 3 years before that. It was such a change from what we saw during the "booty-butt" years of dumping it in the post, and it was really fun for me to watch the Rockets (and especially Cat and Steve) start coming into their own...very frustrating at times, but still very fun. It was very similar to what someone posted a few months back about watching Steve as greatness in the making...

That's why I agree with Lil pun in that I'm not too downed about the whole playoff thing. I can't even say I expected the Rockets to be this close before the season started--I'll gladly admit that.

Future is bright, and hopefully this draft will be also...

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

True, there is nothing quite like that playoff atmosphere but you have the face the facts, the Rockets are terrible versus the Western Conference teams and chances are the Rockets would lose in the first round.
