I haven't heard any serious rumors in awhile, but I was thinking that the Rockets are in a good position to deal. We have a couple of guys in the last year of their contract, a young 7 footer who blocks shots, draft picks, and we have cap space to re-sign anybody we get. We should approach the Suns and the Hawks and see if we could help them broker a Mutombo trade. Atlanta could do a lot worse than Cato, Googs, Walt, and Rogers (aren't both of their contracts up?) plus pix for a guy who will not stay with them beyond this season. We could maybe land Marion and Lorenzen Wright (an upgrade at the 3 and 5) without losing the cap space we want to offer CWebb this summer. We are facing a pivotal time for this team, we aren't going to have a top 5 pick and other than Webber their are no impact players who are free agents that we have a legitimate shot at this summer so a trade now seems to be the safest way to continue building. 1 Francis/Mooch 2 Anderson/Mobley 3 Marion/draft pick(Wallace or Morris)/Langhi 4 CWebb/Mo 5 Wright/draft pick(Woods or Johnson)/Collier ------------------ Calvin Murphy for President!
yeah i want those rumors to heat up again. im still waiting for that killer deal that will have us all partying ------------------ http://members.fortunecity.com/omar369
Wrong Forum. Next time post this topic in the DREAMCAST forum , those are where all the deals that will never happen. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
Francis3: I mostly agree with you, but to be fair, the Drexler, Barkley, Pippen, and Francis trades may seem natural in retrospect, but at the time would also have been considered "dreamcast" scenarios. ------------------ Shandon Anderson rocks. The lottery sucks. Playoffs 2001.
