Did anybody else catch Luke on the Cowboy bench - in one shot he was standing right behind Parcells. Wonder what's up with that. YoungTurk
I thought that was him...but then i said...no, couldn't be. Maybe this should be in that look-a-like thread.
...phew. Given the Lucas/Cowboys connection, and the phrasing of the title of this thread, I was worried the answer was going to be ' Coke."
Seeing if the Cowboys have a need for a 6'10" guy coming off a lifetime drug suspension from the NBA.
they showed him three or four times, each time I thought, 'What the heck, is that John Lucas on the Cowboys' sideline?' But none of the announcers ever mentioned it.. maybe it was just a bald black man with a bushy moustache.. I dunno
My dad and I was wondering the same thing... All I know his Son use to attend Baylor.. tehn Transfered.. so who knows..
He was trying to gain some of Bill Parcells coaching expertise. It never hurts to learn from one of the great coaches. Picking up his tips for attention to detail, etc..
Well, the following quote should answer the question for everyone: "If you noticed former NBA player and coach John Lucas on the Cowboys sideline during the Monday night game in New York, he is a friend of Calvin Hill and Parcells, and has a background in sports psychology and sports enhancement. Lucas has been dropping by now and then, first hooking up with the Cowboys during training camp in San Antonio, but has no official capacity with the team. " -DallasCowboys.com - Mickey Spagnola 9/17 so it really was him. ciao ps that was one of the most wonderful nights of Monday Night Football I have ever seen
