My Ipod's got 893 and counting, but the song I've really been grooving on lately is the Seed, by The Roots. Check it out, if you don't know it.

CDs and MP3s also count, you don't need an iPod. Just looking for suggestions on new songs.

Here's a better list of newer songs I like:

    The Seed, by the Roots

Hope you like those you don't know...

Chestnutt is in the Roots version. I love "The Seed", but prefer "Break You Off" from Phrenology.

BTW MacBeth, I laugh at your piddly amount on your iPod. ;-) I just finished burning the majority of my CD collection to my iPod and currently have 5,042 songs on there. Listening to a lot of Alien Ant Farm (I love "Tia Lupe"), Barenaked Ladies (older stuff, mostly from Gordon), Beach Boys (stuff from Pet Sounds), early Ben Folds Five ("For Those Ya'll That Wear Fanny Packs" is one of the greatest songs EVAR), The Cure, Elvis Costello, Everclear, Jonny Lang, Kurt Elling, Liquid Soul, Maroon 5 (MacBeth, check the entire album out, one of my favorite from the past year), Outkast, Queens of the Stone Age, The Police, Tom Waits, Unwritten Law

    and my (current) favorite song:

"All Of This" - Blink 182's collaboration with Robert Smith.

Now that we are at "mine is bigger than yours" ;), I have about 10,000 songs, they do not all fit on my iPod, so I only keep about 1,000 or so on the iPod.

MacBeth, that Seed song is pretty good, thanks for that tip.

I have a Creative Jukebox Zen NX (30 gig). I have about half a gig free right now... so there are just a few too many to list, but I can name what's on my playlist:

Queen - (all their albums before "The Game")
Led Zep - (Every song from almost every album, even the new live one)
The Who - (mostly a bunch from a few box sets)
The School of Rock - Soundtrack
    Weezer - every album
    Green Day - Every album
Beck - Mutations, Odelay, Mellow Gold, and the new one
Smashing Pumpkins - Simease dream (sp)
    and so on...

Nice! Yeah, I didn't rip a few of my CD's to the hard drive because they were more in the ethnic music studies that I was doing (probably about 50-75 of them). I decided to go with the 40 gig iPod, and I think I'm at 26.43 gigs full. I love the fact that I still have room.

One thing I've wondered though. Those of you that have a lot of songs on the iPod, do you really bother to rank each song 1-5? I don't think I've ranked any songs yet, and honestly, don't really want to.
