I hope he figures it out soon. He doesn't even look confident anymore.

They might need him to take a couple of games off
Rest and get his mind right

He doesn't look like the same guy anymore

he seems so frustrated at himself. I think it gets to you when your bread and butter doesn't fall.

He was just so off mentally

He's the only backup guard we have. He can't sit down. We be better off sitting Paul for a game and giving Gordon the start

think he's trying to do too much on the offensive floor( trying to one on one defender etc.), should just stick with 3point sniper's role

Hell get back into a groove . All he needs is one hot night to get his confidence back .

He can focus on defense and going hard to the rim in the meantime

You want to know what's wrong with him you ask, eh?

Well, in 8 of the last 9 games he's played in he has had the 3rd best net rating on the team. What is the net rating you ask? Good question.

When Gordon is on the court we've been outscoring teams by a +27.2 points.

What is up with him indeed. Basketball is a team sport, and not an individual sport. Gordon may not be averaging 20 points on 50% shooting from deep, but the Rockets are winning, and doing amazing with him on the court.

I think he's a player that needs to touch the ball, sometimes when harden or cp3 dribbles too much it seems like he can get into rhythm
but idk just calling out what I see.

I'm happy we are winning and yes basketball is a team sport. But if he was hitting like that first month he would be even scary. But I'm confident he will find it and bounce back.

i'm not worried about gordon, it's normal to go through 3pt shooting slumps at some point in a long season. even happens to the best 2-guard in the league, the fair prince HRH klay thompson. i'm actually more concerned with capela, who looks completely lost and a step slow game after game

If I recall it was some kind of stomach virus, so shouldn't have lingering effects on his play.

Defenders have been locking him. It's been tough to get his shots off, and they just haven't been falling.

Good news is he is still productive, and as long as he is forcing the defensive to play him like they played him tonight, thats just making more space for the others.

Hopefully it is the reversemof last year where he is slumping in the first half of the season and ok fire the second half and into the playoffs.

It was actually a calf strain. Ryno had the stomach virus.
I love smash Gordon but I miss splash Gordon.
Splash Gordon won the 3pt contest over Curry and Klay...

He's even missing wide open shots though. I think he's in his own head too much. The one 3 in 4th quarter tonight he splashed was waaay behind the 3 pt line and he didn't even hesitate because the shot clock was running down.

As I’ve noted in the thread about changing the lighting in Toyota Center to help Ryan Anderson.

His shooting elbow was flailing (not close to body).....creating inconsistent release point

This created the shot to lose alignment

He then tried guiding the ball with wrist action for alignment correction

    This created lack of touch.

I wouldn’t want to clutter Gordon’s mind with a lot of steps for correction. His confidence is shot at the moment.
The one thing I would tell him is concentrate on shooting elbow in, aimed at the rim. The last home game
Gordon did this. He front rimmed his shot; but the alignment was good. With alignment solved....the wrist
and necessary power will begin to fall in to place through muscle re-education. Repetition.
