Ham steak, creamed corn, green peas, homemade rolls, and Key Lime Pie for dessert.

Also, who is still eating beef?

I went to Sonic today and instead of going with my usual #2 o tomatoes with jalapenos and cheese, I went chicken without even thinking about it until after I put in the order. Damn Mad Cow Disease.

Sounds pretty good. I had crock pot chicken with spinich salad and blue cheese, a whiskey, then ice cream.

I'll take that beef. Roll them bones, baby. Just set me up with lower prices. 1 cow, eh? How many thousands killed a day? Yeah, I'll take t-bones and fillets, please.

My mom took some nice cuts of beef tenderloin and fried them in canola oil. Mind you, I'm not talking about deep frying or anything like that, but when they were done, the inside of the tenderloin was soft and it was enhanced with some chimi churri sauce. Also had some white rice, spinach, and a tomatoe, cucumber, and jicama salad that was dashed olive oil and red wine vinegar.

I leave for school tomorrow, man am I gonna miss home cooked meals:(

Blackened cobia and snapper I caught yesterday off the Keys (still have another two weeks of vacation, woo-hoo. The only work is keeping up with the kids' lessons. Their teachers and I have a daily email conversation. When they come back to school, it will be as if they never left.)
sides: fettucine alfredo, dirty rice, shrimp etoufee, green lima beans
dessert: Key Lime Pie from this place in Marathon (right up the road from us in Pine Key) where it is not too sweet or not too tart, but just right. :D

leftovers....and not the best ones either.

But I did crack open a bottle of the 2001 Simi Cab they just released. It could probably stand some cellaring, but it's still yummy.

I still have no problem eating beef. It's cheaper now, anyway.

This evening I had a homemade chicken salad sandwich and some of those new "Flamin' Hot Frito's with Lime".

Those are the best potato-ish chips in the world!!!

(this is one of the few things that sucks about being single. But I'll be damned if I'm cooking a full meal for myself.)

A piece of the lasagna I made last week... kind of weird because it has turkey in it. But that was the best idea I could find for lowfat, pre-cooked meat. Anything else would be too much work and I would simply never do it. (I hate wasting time on cooking.) Oh well. I'm the only one eating it so who cares as long as it doesn't make me sick. I had other things to do tonight.
