    Just curious now that we have more of an idea of what we need, have, and can expect.

    My Off-Season Plan

    1) Trade Rafer Alston, Vassilis Spanoulis, & Bob Sura for Drew Gooden & Damon Jones.

    2) Sign Steve Blake with the MLE.

    Depth Chart
    1) Steve Blake / Mike James / Aaron Brooks
    2) Tracy McGrady / Luther Head / Kirk Snyder
    3) Shane Battier / Bonzi Wells / Steve Novak
    4) Drew Gooden / Chuck Hayes / Carl Landry
    5) Yao Ming / Dikembe Mutombo / Chuck Hayes

    One of the rare times a poster actually makes the team worse than it was last year that team with Francis and Alston starting would be a first round sweep.

    Ideal and realistic are kind of opposite things actually... but here's my take:

    1) Trade T-Mac for Kobe (You said ideal right? :cool: )

    2) VSPan, Snyder, Brooks for Artest (This falls under realistic as it was already proposed)

    3) Battier, Alston, Sura for Ridnour, Wilcox (unlikely, but ideal)

    PG-->Ridnour/James/Lucas
    SG-->Kobe/Bonzi/Head
    SF-->Artest/Reed/Novak
    PF-->Wilcox/Hayes/Landry
    C--->Yao/Deke/Jake

    This roster has it all! Guaranteed Championship!!! Ideal and Realistic--ya!!

    From the way rox signed Brooks/Landry to Mike Harris, I really have no idea who the management is going to target at the PF spot, so I will leave the PF open, but as for the rest:

    ** Trade Alston, Sura, Vspan, Luther, Justin Reed for a starting PF and a 3rd tall point guard (I think we should keep Snyder just in case Bonzi is not doing his job)

    Yao/Mutombo/Hayes
    Starting PF/Hayes/Landry
    Battier/Novak/Harris/Snyder
    Tmac/Bonzi/Snyder/Harris
    James/Brooks/3rd string tall PG

    Yao/Magloire/Deke
    Magloire/Frye/Hayes
    Tmac/Wells/Novak
    Wells/Tmac/Snyder or Head
    Francis/James/Alston

    Trade Battier + Brooks for Jamal Magloire sign/trade and
    Trade Sura for Channing Frye

    Francis signs for LLE (not likely, but would be nice)

    Trade JLIII, Vspan's contract, Snyder or Head, Reed, Landry for draft picks

    Resign Hayes and Deke

    keep the whole thing under 70 mil., around 66-68.

    If the Heat cant get Williams, Blake, or Francis I could maybe see an Alston, Hayes 4 Haslem deal. That would be great but unlikely...

    But Wilcox... Dont even get me started again.

    I don't think many people expect him to join the active team at this point...

    I really don't know why Reed was throw into the Howard for James deal. The salaries would've worked without him and we were the ones that wanted him...

    You know, Sina.com uses bbs.clutchfans.net as one of their major sources.

    I think the heat are waiting to see if mo williams signs with them. If he doesnt, they might trade haslem to us if steve blake/ francis sign with denver and the clippers. Alston will be the best starting option for them after those two guys are gone. They have wayne simian who is essenially haslem part 2 and still on his rookie contract.

    See Sig.

    Still want Artest, if it is at all possible to get a hold of him. I think him at PF would be perfect.

    Either that or trade Battier for a true 4 (Wilcox?).

    Then Sign SF and start him at 2.

    This one seems the most realistic n perfect roster but I would rather sign Francis for MLE than Blake.

    this thread has spiraled from realistic to pure fantasy...so I'm going to throw mine around...

    1) Trade: Battier + Wells + Head for Rip Hamilton

    2) Sign: Amir Johnson to 3yrs 13 mil contract

    3) Send: Flaming pile of dog **** to Joe Dumars front door w/ attached "Thank You" card w/ poorly drawn middle finger on it.

    4) Trade: Rafer + Sura + VSpan + Snyder for Marquis Daniels and Jeff Foster.

    5) Trade: JL3 to PHX for Future 2nd rounder and cash.

    6) re-sign Hayes, Mutumbo and Pete Chillcut.

    Roster:

    Yao-Deke
    Foster-Hayes-Johnson
    T-Mac-Harris-Reed
    Hamilton
    Daniels-James-Brooks

    Novak/Landry/Chillcut on IR.
