if $$$ , "social status" , job prospects ,etc....things that people take in consideration while choosing a major in college weren't factors. Like if you could just study whatever in college w/o worrying about life after college . I would choose History , find it quite interesting !!
Not a bad choice for this thread. Many interesting topics, discussions, and debates to explore in those courses, and it's always relevant to current events so that's a plus. Unfortunately, I did this in real life.
Well, I double majored just so I could study something for passion (History) along with minors in psychology and philosophy. I followed this by further graduate studies in other subjects so overall, I've had a well-rounded education.
I'd love to study Philosophy, but Philosophers don't get paid. So I'm stuck with International Affairs.
Wait a minute, do you mean to say I should have taken money, social status, job prospects, etc into consideration? I paid for it, so I chose what I wanted to learn. I chose what appealed to me. I may be in the minority but I did not choose a major based on your criteria. I understand the logic, but would hate to end up in a profession that did not interest me.
