Two threads started making me think - I wonder what it would be like to see actual pictures of slavery at its height. I wonder how gruesome that would have been. Then, I started thinking about other things. I wish we would have developed photography about 3,000 years before we actually did, because then, we could have actually photographed some great things.

So, with that said, what are some things that you wish you could see in actual photographical form? No paintings, no artists' interpretation, simply a picture showing what is actually there.

Like they say, a picture never lies....

    Jesus

    Helen of Troy

    The Sphinx at it's completion

Any number of scenes from Shakespeare's plays in their original productions- death of Romeo & Juilliet, battle scenes from Henry V, too many to list.

    Original production of Monteverdi's Orfeo

Original production of Mozart's Don Giovanni

Conclusive evidence of Jesus rising again, or not rising again

    Any number of Napoleon's battles

Any number of Attilla the Hun's battles

...this is fun, I could go on and on

I think history would be changed pretty damatically if we could see these things, too.

    Oh oh oh oh-

And how about some of those dynastic wars for control of Japan in the 1400's-1500's, before gunpowder came along?

Tens of thousands of Hell-bent Samurai, all determined to die before facing dishonor, in full armor and regalia, shooting bows from horseback, swinging katanas, screaming the names of their ancestors as they fly into battle!!

    oh oh oh oh oh-

And Hannibal! The battles with him and the Roman armies and the war elephants!

And the day the volcano erupted and destroyed Pompeii.

Not pleasant stuff here, should think of some nicer things.

How about a satellite photo of the moment of impact of the asteroid that supposedly ushered the death of the dinasaurs?

Kind of hard to take a photograph of a fictional character.

Speaking of evidential photos... ie - The big bang, Jesus, Actual dinosaurs...

I was thinking of photos that would end controversies...

    Kobe with his accuser...

Any MLB player actually shooting roids... (so they can stop denying it)

Micheal Jackson... (These pictures I WOULD NOT WANT TO SEE, I would just like the controversey to be clear cut one way or the other)...

Better photograhy of the bushes and other landscape areas that center around controversey regarding Kennedy's asassination...

Pictures of what Scott peterson really did the night his wife was missing...

A picture of the guilty man leaving the scene that killed MLK...

A picture of OJ taking off the mask when he was leaving the scene of the crime....

    feel free to add on....

We know that Scott was found guilty for the murder, but didn't he enter a plea of not guilty? I was referring to conclusive pictures to account for his wearabouts and movements.

I believe there were picture of past holiday parties and other things, but i do not believe he took a camera around with him and phtographed what he did.
