Almost anything. I would assume the only untouchable would be Yao, because I can't imagine Lebron would want to play here without him.
This is a joke thread, right? A reaction to those who would be reluctant to give up certain players for Bosh?
In this thread: People who don't understand leverage. If Cleveland is open to a S&T, I'd swap Mo Williams and Aaron Brooks, send Ariza, Hill, and throw in cap filler in Jeffries and Anderson. Throw in some cash to help out with Jeffries' contract; no one should have to bear the full brunt of Isaiah's incompetence. If picks go in, Brooks comes out.
You dont really have much choice but to let them have just about anyone they want. The only people I'd hope to keep would be Yao and Brooks, inside presence and outside shooting would be key to go along with James. But at no point will anything be a deal breaker.
I'm reserved on it. Kevin Martin AND Aaron Brooks might be tough to swallow, and the salaries still might not match so we'd have to toss in something else (probably a young player like Hill/Budinger/Patterson or some picks). I'd say almost anything, though.
I wouldn't gut the team for any player, even LeBron James. The goal is still winning a championship, not just having a superstar on the team. To say they could have anyone they want from the team? That's not the mindset of a champion; it's the mindset of a chump.
SnT Free agents have an interest in not gutting the team that they are going to play for. Lets LeBron wants to play for Rockets, then he wouldn't want the Rockets to ship off Brooks, Ariza, resigned Scola + 2011 Knicks Swap + 2012 Knicks Pick just to get him.
Just about anything, but the Rockets wouldn't have to do that. LeBron will choose where he wants to play, and he has all the leverage. He won't want to play on a gutted team; if he comes here, it will be because he thinks it's the best place for him to win (while still being the core player and not having to share the spotlight). Of course it's a one in one hundred chance anyway. But if it did happen I'm sure LeBron would demand that Cleveland not ask the Rockets to gut their roster, but build the package around young players and draft picks instead.
