If the Heat or whoever gets the first pick in the draft decided to trade the pick for a star player would you be willing to give up Tmac or another key rocket player to get Michael Beasley?

    BOLD PREDICTION:
Blake Griffin will be a better pro than Michael Beasley.

Beasley has reached "can't miss" status. Unless you're a complete madman or offer up LeBron don't expect the Heat or whoever lands the #1 pick to do anything other than draft him.

No, I would not trade T-Mac for Beasley. We have a good PF situation right now. If we want to upgrade in the offseason, we should target a perimeter player.

beasley + yao = trouble down low for most teams.

but most offensive big men duos dont really work out. yao needs a haslem-type player who does all the dirty work and can hit that outside jumper to free up yao in teh post. we have scola and landry.

Hmmm...Tmac is making $21 million next season. This year's #1 Oden is making $4.5 million, so we can assume Beasley will make about the same. The only way for it to work would be Beasley, a sign and trade Shawn Marion for McGrady. I'd do it! But since Miami is clearly tanking to get the best possible shot drafting Beasley, it ain't happening.
