I have an opportunity to lease a room in a small house with 2 other beautiful gals. One of their roomates is moving out and one of the girls, who I know quite well, asked me if I wanted to lease the room and move in with them. Sure it sounds like a gimme, like who wouldn't want to live with 2 hot chicks. BUT, just think about having to be like a true gentleman all day and night.....I would love to shack with them. Anyways some info:... Currently I live in an apartment complex where I have access to a BIG pool (has basketball, volleyball etc.), full basketball court, weight room, computer lab (not that I need that), free repair (clogged drains, broken equipment), and my current apartment is furnished. The apartment has four bedrooms and a kitchen, living room, and dining room. In my room I also have my own full bathroom (tub/shower and toilet etc.). Also my apartment complex is quite active at setting up parties, we get one of the local stations to come and broadcast from poolside where they throw a party and give away stuff. So our pool is a huge party area during the summer. The house is not furnished so I am going to have to buy furniture for my room. (bed etc.) I can't remember if my bedroom in the house will have it's own bathroom. (the house is a duplex by the way). If I move into the house I wouldn't have access to the pool (with out jumping the fense) and all the other amenities that come with my current apartment. I was told that if I move in I can expect to have a clean house, because they are girls, and that there would be a lot of good cooking. (something I don't have a lot of here) The house is located right next to my current complex so there is no problem with location. So do I leave the gated Apartment complex and move in with the gals, or stay where I am? I really can't believe I am asking this....I do think I am going to move in with them, but just asking what you guys would do. (since I am on my computer so much, I hate my current apartment's firewall on our internet. I can't do anything here (games etc.))
Is there much difference in rent? Do you have any problems with you current roomates? And most importantly do the chicks have boyfriends? As far as bedroom furnishings go you can piece that togather pretty cheap if you buy used or Ikia.
How are we supposed to give you sound advice without seeing them naked......uh......I mean what they look like.
Kilgore Trout: There isn't much difference in rent. I meant to type that. Moving into the house would be $24 cheaper than my current rent. I only have one roomate right now, and he's moving out this summer to Houston. One of the girls has a boyfriend, he lives and goes to school in Austin. The other chick doesn't have one. The one who is single right now is a friend whome I normally hang out with just about every weekend. Going to try to hook up with her this spring break since I am single now too.
I looked around and couldn't find a picture. i am not the kind of person who brings a camera to the clubs and bars. ......
What I would give to have such troubles..... depends on what you value... does it bother you to lose the extras that come with living in the apartments? and does it mean that much to you to have unrestricted internet, and access to fine half naked chicks running around your domicile? what the hell am I asking? geez...run..do not walk....run down and get that room before someone else does.
What is the television/stereo/vcr/dvd situation in the house? Girls often have very different tastes in what will be playing on the entertainment system. How often is the one's boyfriend there? Have you met him? Do you get along with him? Sometime's it's a bummer coming home wanting to relax when the one girl and her boyfriend are hogging the living room couch or whatever. On the other hand if he's gone a lot, or if you guys get along well it wouldn't matter. Is there a park nearby with basketball? That might make losing the basketball court at your apts. not hurt so bad. What will these girls think about you bringing home your own dates or girlfriends? Take the answer to those questions and add them to this info... Cons: 1. Moving from one place to another can be a pain(depending on how much stuff you have. 2. You are comfortable where you are, have access to sports, and social environment. 3. Sometimes living together can hamper hooking up if you are planning on hooking up with one of them, and it can get really messy after the hook up situation is broken off. Pros: 1. Sometimes living together can push things in the direction of a hookup. 2. Not only will you be living with attractive girls, those girls will also have friends. 3. Parties thrown will most likely have a very desirable guy girl ratio.
I'm lovin' this. This is a good problem to have. You've already made the decision, Uprising... have an adventure! (I used to do this sort of thing a lot, in the dark ages. One thing it's not is dull. )
Watch out for hidden costs with the bills. If its an older house the electricity bill can be much more than an appartment. Another suggestion is to make sure you have cable in you bedroom. You dont want to get stuck watching American Idol when the Rockets are on. Other than that good luck.
Tell the girls you'll move in but not pay rent But tell them you'll pay them for sexual favors That solves everything. You get to live with 2 chicks and it costsa you nothing unless you're getting some!
It is a new house, and each bedroom does have it's own cable connection. (so I can still catch the programs I want) The know the boyfriend of one of the girls, he is a cool guy. I have seen him a couple of times, he comes down every now and then. I would miss the extras that I get at my current complex, but I would get "extras" by moving in with them. They are very cool, and I do hang out a lot of one of them. I guess this would give me a chance to meet up with more of their friends. The house is new, and nice. I guess I can make my way down to the Ikea in Houston and buy myself some cheap furniture for my room this summer. I guess this is an oppurtunity that if I pass up, I am a fool.

It sounds like their are more pros than cons. I would go with the results of that. One con, however, is it could hurt chances of getting a girl of your own. I can't imagine too many women would be crazy about the idea of their man living with 2 women. Especially if they are attractive. You know, I actually had the opportunity to move in with 2 women once...I worked with a girl and one of her roomates ran out on them. Too bad I was only a junior in high school though. I knew it wouldn't fly too well with the 'rents. And that girl I worked with is now a stripper. I'm not sure if that would've been a good or a bad thing.
