Then do you all mean Walt has no trade value? And frankly speaking, I can't figure which team would want Walt in such time.

    Any special insight out there???

We could trade Walt for a draft pick and re-sign Mack (we would need Mack guaranteed to sign before trading the Wizard).

Don't think at this point another team would give us someone who could instantly fit in with the new players and contribute--we already have a lot of talent and having enough trouble just trying to make them jell as it is. Maybe a veteran point guard to come off the bench and help Steve learn the ropes better (this would definitely be a plus come playoff time, assuming we get there).

Maybe we could get a SF who is a defensive specialist to complement Matt Bullard's offensive game. I don't think we could get a well rounded player unless we packaged other people in the deal. I'm thinking.....

    Wizard,

It's because Walt is a starter really doing nothing and a liability on offense. Mobley shoots 1 percentage point less than Walt, but he comes off the bench to score and actually contributes.

Walt's $5 million salary makes him extremely difficult to deal in a one-for-one trade. I seriously doubt any team would be willing to take on that 5 mill for a draft pick or a single player. The only way I could see him being traded was if he was part of a multiplayer deal including players with high trade value and low salaries (Mobley/Rogers) in exchange for a big package costing over $5 million. We would need Walt's $5 million to make the cash even out.

He's stuck here for a while. Nobody in their right minds wants him at such a price. The real question is why haven't we benched him yet. What's the hold up. Rudy hasn't even refered to Walt's horrid shooting or to Walt in any interviews I have seen lately.
