if we got Blake Griffin? I know its horrifically off base, but hearing on ESPN about how he plays 110% all the time, wouldn't that fit well with our ragtag bunch. Plus it would be exciting too. Sorry for a crappy first post, Rox just depress me now.
What would the Rockets be like if they acquired a bunch of young role players, on cheap contracts, with no superstar to anchor the the team? Oh, wait...
My biggest fear with Griffin is that he wont stay healthy. He is by far the most exciting player to watch right now and I remember reading an espn article on him earlier in the year that every time he goes up one of three things is going to happen that went something along the lines of.... 1.) He's going to throw down the sickest dunk we've ever seen. 2.) He's going to throw down the best dunk of the night. 3.) Hes going to come down and his leg or knee of something else is going to explode. He just plays at such a high intensity and way up in the air, and with no regard for human life, that you are just waiting for that one bad landing that will leave him out for a long time. That being said I hope that it never happens because he is just so damn entertaining to watch.
I would no longer think he's a little girl, and would go buy a jersey. As for now he's a ladies reproductive organ.
Dr Clayton Bigsby would have taken a "Sledge Hammer" to Griffins knees if he was a Rocket with the way he's been playing. It's nice when a team hires staff that generally works against them. Slightly delusional Old Man Adelman, inadequate Keith Jones the trainer, and top it off with team surgeons that bought their medical degrees in Tijuana at a flee market
What would the Rockets be like...with Tyson Chandler? Amazing one guy, who isn't even close to an all-star, can make such a HUGE difference. The guy for all his warts, is a legitimate DPOY candidate and is EXACTLY what the Rox need. Where would the team be in the standings? Would his defense help mask Scola and Martin's problems? What kind of players would we be going after at the deadline, besides a superstar of course? Imagine, late in games, when the team seems to struggle so much, being able to put Chandler, Hayes and Battier together on the court to stop other teams ability to just drive to the hoop, instead making them shoot jumpers.
