What would our record be if we never had Tmac this season?

It's not about having this squad... It's about the hustle and hard work. That's what has been missing.

If the squad we had earlier this season had played every game with this type of hustle, we would have an outstanding record.

 

Keep in mind that Battier missed the first month of the season and it took him a while to get going. Barry was slumping big time to start the year. And Artest shot in the low 30s in the first month.

It's not like things would be as they are now all season.

 

Probably not much better. Would still of had the injuries to Battier and Artest.

 

Yep exactly, if Tmac was playing at 90% and was giving 100%...we'd probably be unstoppable honestly.

 

I think we would be worse had we not had T-Mac all season... Due to the fact that we needed him to go down and be in and out of games, so that the rest of our team could gel together. Without that.. Who knows what to think. Though if we had a healthy T-Mac.. We would be challenging the Lakers for top spot.

Ever heard of chemistry? Chemistry involves a consistent rotation. Because of Tracy, we couldn't gel until now.

 

To be honest. I think the T-Mac drama may have helped the Rockets in the long run. It taught us by example that hard work overcomes talent.

 

So what would the rox record be in the 1st 15 games when shane was out and the team went 10-5. So no shane and no tracy and u say 5-7 more wins? Must be the wine.

 

Who cares? How will we ever know? We won't. Just be glad we've got a team now. I'm enjoying the ride!

 

What about trading McGrady for Billups Hamilton

20-15, the team would have been better off if he never played a single game this year......they would have 5-7 more wins IMO....

The guys that are playing well now would have played well then...

It doesn't matter, Tmac was not an efficient player this year, to me it is all about efficiency.

stop thinking about the "what-if's" and move on.

 

Having to get over the Tracy drama, that right there cause BETTER chemistry. Having to overcome the SAME issue as your teammates makes you closer.

I go back and forth on this issue. On the one hand, Tmac + Yao has worked in the past. We've won 50 games with both of them out 20 each every season. Then we add Artest and suddenly Tmac is a chemistry issue? I wanna blame it on the injury, or some other factor unknown to us. I just have a hard time believing one year a guy has good chemistry with the rest of the team (as evidenced by the end of the 22 game win streak), then the next he has horrible chemistry and its mostly the same guys.

But you can't deny this team is playing better without him.

I'd say we would've won like 5 more games. We would've won a lot of these games we lost (Toronto, Washington, etc), but then we probably would've lost some of the games we won when Artest and Battier were having injury issues at the beginning of the season.

 

I know they were 10-5 at the beginning minus shane. Now the op wants to take tracy off also and dd says 5-7 more wins? I guess.
