I wish we could have one of these guys. Id trade anyone except Yao Ming. I hope SF or Cat read these things to see just how bad everyone is rippin them. Garnett can take a team to playoffs by himself and the rockets already have more talent than the wolves. I juss wanna hear some trade thoughts.

It would take Yao Ming. I'm not sure they would take a small guard for a big man.

To get Garnett: Wait 'til off-season. Find 3rd team, preferably in the East, and send Francis to that team. (TWolves not too high on Francis.) BYC complications, Minnesota getting value for Garnett, etc etc. We'd have to send out about $32,000,000 in salaries because of Garnett's salary AND BYC complications.

Brand is more of a possibility, but if we traded for him, it would have to be now, before the offseason, because he'll be a restricted free agent. Someone with cap space will make him an offer that LAC won't match; or LAC will sign him, a one-year offer, and he won't be tradeable.

I think Garnett may not be as untouchable as many think. Minn. is going to be nothing more than first round fodder for the next several years. They have no first round pick for the next 3 years (5years total). They are so far over the cap they can't add any real help for KG.

So, what would it take? Cato, Griff, Mobes, Norris, Rice, and 2 or 3 first round picks and some really good salesmanship. If I am CD, I call Mc Hale, and try to make him realize his true situation. Take my offer, move Wally to the 3 (he isn't quick enough to guard 2s), and put Mobes in at the 2. Griff has superstar potential and who better to tutor him then Mc Hale. Norris gives you a PG to help solidify that position along with Hudson. Neither is great, but the combo could work to make that a solid position. Cato could combine with Nesterovic to solidify the center, and Cato likes to come off the bench and has thrived in this role. Rice comes off the books after next season to help their cap situation. Plus, they get back the draft choices they so ignorantly pissed away by signing Smith to an illegal contract.

I think this trade benefits both teams. I think for us it gives us a true on the court leader. KG has a fire that you can't teach, plus his passing plus Yao's passing would help make up for SF not being a pass first PG. Plug Posey in at the 2 to be a stopper on the better of the 2 guards, and let SF guard the weaker of the 2. Mo T is the 4, and again KG's rebounding and defense can help hide Mo T's drawbacks. Yao would help with this as well. Bench is Collier, Morris, Maddox, Nachbar, and we could sign a banging tough 4(ala Pig Miller) from the CBA as well as a PG (Tierre Brown or someone similar) to provide some depth. There are decent players there waiting for a shot.

With good salesmanship, you never know:D

It would take an act of God and I don't think he is a Rockets fan!

First of all, Garnett would never fit in our cap space, unless we trade away half our team, which wouldn't fit in the Wolves' roster space. Neither will Brand, when he becomes a FA this summer, not to mention he might not come back.

Secondly, the Wolves won't trade Garnett. Sure he's expensive but he's also their franchaise player that put butts in the seats. They might trade him for Yao Ming (which they should, cuz they're a team going nowhere fast, might as well look out for the future) but once again, cap space. Not to mention I hope even we're not dumb enough to make that trade. Rox with Yao is the team of the future, Rox without Yao is nothing. Even Garnett can only take you so far with the boneheaded plays we make which means we won't win now and we're not gonna win in the future.

Finally, I simply won't trade Yao or Francis for Brand. Trading for Brand gives us a 4 but suddenly we don't have a 1 (and please for the sake of god don't mention Moochie). Not to mention this will not make our team better. Making a trade that doesn't make a team better simply doesn't make sense. We have nobody else they will trade Brand for.

Are you kidding? Other teams' management know who the Rockets are. We couldn't give them our whole team for someone like KG.

Garnett is very much tradeable in the T-Wolves' mindset, IMO.

The T-Wolves are an interesting team in that they always make the playoffs, but always lose in the first round. Therefore, they aren't that good, but aren't bad enough to ever get a great draft pick. The only guys they've gotten are Szczerbiak in '99, and Marbury in '96, who left after two seasons. Rasho Nesterovic was a pretty good pick, but nothing special.

Therefore, the Wolves must constantly look to the free agent market to pick up their players. They got Terrell Brandon, Chauncey Billups, Troy Hudson, Joe Smith, Marc Jackson, Anthony Peeler, etc. this way, I believe. They've had weak draft picks overall (William Avery, Loren Woods), and they also let Bobby Jackson go, which was a huge blunder. They've also had bad luck with Terrell Brandon's injury problems.

With KG's huge contract, it makes it very hard for them to sign anyone that good, and yet they will always be good enough to make the playoffs with KG, but probably never good enough to compete for the WC Finals because of the lack of surrounding talent.

Therefore, if they can trade KG for young talent and contracts that expire quickly, I think they would consider it, even if it wasn't a great straight up trade.

Then again, there is a good chance that I could be talking out of my a$$. :D

to get brand may not take that much like maybe boki and eddie cuz the clips arn't gonna resign him and would like a player not to just lose him for nothin i think i would do it but remember he would need a new conteact after the season so we would be way over the cap and we would still have to resign posey especially if we lose nachbar

No way could the Rockets get Garnett. He's a T-Wolf through and through. I liken Garnett and T-Wolves similarly to how I view the Jazz. It's Stockton and Malone, and a bunch of scrubs. For the Wolves, it's Garnett and Wally, and a bunch of scrubs with mops on their heads. I questionably think he's better then Duncan, and is easily in the top 3 of one the best players in the game. Shaq, Duncan/Garnett. Duncan and Garnett both put up similar numbers consistently, and carry their team to wins every night. Shaq as out of shape as he is, has the Lakers almost back to being a .500 team, and he's still not at full strength or condition yet. It took Steve Francis's best individual performance, and a poor shooting night for Kobe just to squeak out a win against L.A, and they're not even at full strength yet. Neither are we, but you get the point.

GARNETT IS THE MAN. He is the best...besides Tim Duncan. He is really a very good player. But he is not Superman either. He gets tired like everyone else. I don't think he should be getting paid THAT much money per year. They still have a good team.

    WHO CARES ABOUT ISO?

If we actually got Kevin Garnett with Steve Francis....imagine.

But it's never going to happen.

Elton Brand. That's more of a possibility. I would love to have him. He will probably want a lot of cash. So will Posey...financial problems? Hopefully there's enough revenue from the new arena and more Chinese companies!
