I'm assuming they are going to play the sac town queens, what do you guys think the Roxs will need to do to give them their best shot of pulling this off?

Kidnap Christie's wife, slip anti-flopping medication into Divac's food, steal Bibby's favorite fingernail polish, deport Peja, re-injure B. Jackson, and offer Webber money to throw the game.

    That would do the trick.

the key to wining this series is keeping the tempo S L O W. We have to keep the game in the half court. If they start running we're screwed. Our guys need to hit their shots and keep the turnovers down, that is the only chance we have

I think with the Kings our bench is vital to keeping up with the Kings.. if we start to tire and our defense starts to falter were toast.

Keep feeding Yao the ball when he is in and in good position. Since we know Yao is not going to be able to play the whole game make the most of his time in.

Force feed Yao the ball down low and keep moving and cutting.. im tired of people dumping Yao the ball and then standing around. This takes away from part of Yao's skill set (passing or hitting the open player)

    4. Yao dominance.
    5. Stevie shooting close to 45%.
    6. Shoot 40% from downtown as a team.

Yao needs to rebound. Its the playoffs. He should be trying to snatch everything coming off the rim. None of that volleyball stuff. The rebounding will help us control the pace of the game.

This is a bit off topic...but does anyone know the day the playoffs start? Is it Saturday the 17th, or Sunday the 18th?

Also if anyone has any heads up on the possible dates for the Rockets first two home games it would be appreciated. I have an opportunity to get tickets, but I wouldn't be able to go on the 24th, so I'm trying to avoid that.

Besides the obvious, like outshoot, outrebound, etc., the real key is SLOW it down. A deliberate, half-court style of play and tenacious defense, our only chance.

Honestly, I am just hopeful that the Rockets will play well, scare the Kings, and gain playoff experience. If we win the series the whole NBA will be in shock, the BBS server will probably meltdown, all the posters will express love and forgiveness to one another, and the Toyota Center will renamed after Steve Francis. :D

Tall order, hope they are up for the task, I personally think how they play the first game will set the tone for the whole series, if they put in a strong performance in game in sac town, we may have a chance!

I'd say it is especially important to make sure Webber can't get going offensively. He tends to drag the team down when he's not playing well.

I actually think the most important thing is to leave the refs alone. If we get on their bad side we're screwed. If the players, Francis and Mobley in particular, show the refs disrespect during these upcoming playoff games like they did for the most part this season, we're going to be on the bad side of most calls. And the Rockets are not good enough to overcome that. So leave the refs alone and just play the game. Thats the most important thing.
