i think they will definately shop the pick to bring some inside help to show michael redd that this team will be better....maybe helping them re-sign him....if they lose redd, they will draft marvin williams of unc ....thats what i think.... I would say chris paul, but they aren't giving up on TJ and williams has been quite a find for them...

Bogut would be my guess. Marvin Williams would be a good call, but (IMO) is farther away from being a contributer. A real inside presence to balance Redd's game would be smart. Drafting another point guard won't make them contenders.

I think the Bucks will shop their pick. Teams like Utah who have a lot of picks could be in the running. Maybe a deal like Boozer/#6 pick for the #1 overall would work.

The Bucks really need to show Redd is their guy and are willing to improve their team. Adding Bogut or Williams wouldn't help them that much at first, but maybe trading down while adding a good big man would help them more.

They have DMase at the SF right now, right? I don't know much about Marvin Williams' game, but it seems that it'd be redundant at this point to have Williams and Mason. I think they shop it, but if they find no suitors take Bogut.

I agree that Williams won't help them that much - but surely Bogut brings them a real inside presence??

I don't see how Boozer helps them more than Bogut would!

If I'm Milwaukee, I take Bogut and look to move TJ for either a mid-first round pick, or a big who can rebound.

Well, it's hard to say if Bogut will be able to do the 19 &10 Boozer gives you. But it still gives the Bucs a chance to land a good player at #6, guys like Green or Deron Williams might be available. They could get another big guy like Vasquez or Frye.

A Bucs Lineup of Ford,Redd,Green,Boozer,Gadzuric would probably be better than a Ford, Redd, Mason, Smith, Bogut lineup, but probably not by much.

they won'y trade the pick. the #1 pick is almost never traded. and 73% of the time the first pick is used to draft a 4 or a 5.

your answer to this thread: draft bogut.

I love Marvin Williams, have been watching UNC all year, and think he's going to be a special player. Having said that, if I'm Milwaukee, (based on the 2 games I saw Utah) I take Bogut. The way I see it, unless he's Lebron James or McGrady type wing player, you take the big if you think he's going to be good. Productive like Illgauskus or Yao. And from what I've seen of Bogut, I think he's that good. Not the same exact skill set, but probably similar production. The thing with Marvin Williams is that his skill set is out of this world, but you can't quite project him to 3 or 4 in the NBA, because he played 4 at UNC. A lot of people are saying he's a 3 in the NBA, but I'm not so sure. I think offensively, his post up game is very raw, but if he can refine it he's got more than the necessary frame to be able to bang down low with the vast majority of 4's in the league. I've thought all season about who I would compare Marvin Williams too, but never really come up with anything. If you look at Drafcity's profile, he's the only prospect I've seen that doesn't have a best case scenario comparison... I guess the guy he most resembles is Rashard Lewis, but I'd say Marvin Williams has the ability to be a Rashard Lewis+. Better athleticism, better outside stroke...

I guess we'll see about that - I agree that Bogut probably won't score 19+ points in his first season, but he IS a polished rebounder - may well push 10 boards per contest.

What IS hard to see is Boozer blocking more than 1 shot per game - something that is a lock with Bogut - and Bogut is 7'0 compared to Boozer's 6'8 - that makes a difference!

7'0 guys who can play on both ends of the floor aren't all that common in the NBA - there is no way that a team passes the opportunity to get one!!

Of course - the Bucks are about the worst talent evaluators in the league when it comes to selecting big men - as posted above, most of their 'big' picks are dreadful selections...

Judging by the Bucks website on NBA.com they will end up drafting Bogut. 95% of the websites they have quotes from predict taking Bogut. 90-95% of their fans want Bogut.

bogut is overrated and won't be more than a good player in the nba, so i'd either trade the pick or trade mason and draft williams because i think williams can become a very good player and possibly star in the NBA.

i still think that tj ford is the most important player to that team. with him in the lineup as a rookie they were a good team and without him they got the #1 pick in the draft. despite some people thinking he's a bust, let's just wait and see if he can come back healthy.
