Will he be back??? Ask him! But I don't think he can answer you right now. [IMG]

Charles can still bring a lot to the table. HEART is one thing the Rockets lack right now, and that's what he can bring us. Also, he's so experienced with young players so that's a good one. And I think Stevie loves him!

As much as I love Charles, I do have a contradiction here: emotionally, I would love to see him back. But the situation the Rockets are facing doesn't seem to allow him to come back. He might eat up a little more cap room; his return may mean slowing the process of rebuilding.

    Help me here!!! [IMG]

    IMHO Chuck should:
"go gentle into that good night"
    and not
"Rage, rage against the dying of the light"

He should definitely come back next year. I don't think he will affect the cap at all...I think they can just wait until they sign everyone else, then sign him to whatever amount they want. The season would just be so much more fun next year if he played. Let Kenny T back him up one more year. I don't think it will adversely affect our rebuilding situation at all. Oh, and Hakeem, please retire.

From what I've heard, the Rockets don't have any interest in Barkley returning next year even if he decided to, which he probably won't.

In addition, Barkley would want to play for a contender and the Rockets won't be there yet next year.

It would seem out of character for Barkley to come back after the way he declared his retirement. I know he had hollow threats many times, but this time was different. I hope he's able to play the last game of the season though.

I must have misunderstood something then...

I thought he had an injury similar in nature to the Bo Jackson injury... only Chuck is older and it's harder to come back from that.

I really thought he was done for good.

Now if he could make a comeback, all I can say is he had better be in a Rockets uni.

Should you guys pass the pipe? Or is there some tinge of hope in this? [IMG]

Bo Jackson's injury was to his hip. Charles tore the quad muscle in his leg. I believe it detached from the knee. They repaired it, and he should come back healthy.

The main thing now i think is for hakeem to retire... yes he is a great player... but playing more will only hurt his chaaances of leaving with a boom...like what happened with charles... so hurry back charles.. annd play next season

With CB4 taking the job at TNT I would say it is not likely that he will be back next year.
