At least according to David Aldridge, who usually checks his sources. My god ... Snow? The guy would not be a starter on half the teams in the league, plus had all kinds of injuries the past year. Instead of trading the #1, the Rockets shoud try to pry him with Moochie. What's Snow got on Moochie? Can Snow give you the 'fro?

Snow for Odom straight up??? We should just offer the Clips Collier and T-Mo for Odom.

Maybe there's more to the trade than that. Or the Clips really want to move Odom and the lotto picks, and leaked this "trade offer" to see what kind of attention they would get from other teams wanting Odom...like, if Ming falls through, Da Rox.

Hell lets send them Mooch. He might not be as good as Snow but he has cooler hair. :D I guess he doesn't have the value all you anti Mingers thought after all. :p

I don't think he meant straight up, he called it a scenario. He mentioned the 2 main guys in the trade, Snow a accomplished PG who could start on lots of teams, and Odom, a SF who could start for every team. I like Mooch, but ask anybody outside of Houston and they will tell you that Snow is a better PG. He's a classy veteran who's a leader, something the clips really want according to Aldridge. Mooch is no leader nor has he started for a full season.

If Eric Snow cuts it for the Clippers, well we'd be hard pressed to let this guy go, but Tierre Brown could be had. I do have my reservation about letting Brown go. But we already have Francis and Moochie.

There you go Brown for Odom. We may have to throw Rice or Cato to make the deal work under the cap.

Snow is an average shooting guard. GS tried him at the pg and he failed miserably.

Tierre isn't under contract. We should trade Mooch for Odom and keep Tierre...Save Tierre...Backup PGs are a dime a dozen, why pay Mooch so much just because the fans love his hair. Yeah he honestly is a decent player, made those clutch shots, but I don't like how he runs our offense and he costs too much. More minuses than pluses

Snow is a good player. He is much better than Moochie, even thogh i love Moochie.
Snow obviously isn't Odom and i would highly doubt the Clipps would do that but you can never put anything past them.

How about defense?? Moochie's fro looks cool...as the other teams guard blows by him for another layup. Snow knows how to play a role on a "team," and has actually been accused of being too passive on offense at times.

Snow doesnt play shooting guard. He is strictly a point guard.

I think the Clippers are looking for a veteran player that does not have a big contract, and will not be asking for one any time in the future. Snow fits this perfectly, and he fills a "need position" for the Clippers. The Clippers do not want another young potential superstar, because that's the whole reason they're trading Odom...they have too many of them! I can easily see the Clippers doing this deal, especially since the 76ers aren't in the same conference.

For the record, Aldridge said this:

I keep hearing a Lamar Odom to Philly for Eric Snow scenario. For the record, both teams issue firm denials of said scenario -- even though it would make a whole lot of sense for both squads.

...so even he admits that there probabaly isn't much to the rumor.

Eric Snow is a young version of Avery Johnson, with a little less quickness but better defense. If he would only hit that top of the key jumper consistently, the Sixer offense would be much better.

I'd be willing to trade Moochie for Erik Snow. The guy is solid. He'd be a pretty good backup for Steve. Plus, he's a veteran.

Not that the thread is about my idea, but what the hell?

That jumper kills him. He is absolutely awful at shots outside of 15 feet.

So Aldridge is saying Snow will fetch us Odom. I'm no NBA insider, but I do know enough to assume that Green would serve as a better bait than Snow...unless Odom's expanding his horizon to bigger, better things.

About a month ago, I suggested a trade of the #15 pick for Odom and got blasted away by folks here.

Odom is injured. He is suspended. He is under-performing, but he might be worth the #15. Have to see who else is available at that spot.

Trouble is that LAClips don't want more young bodies.
