They went on and on about how the Blazers were playing down to their competition. However, they were very complimentary to Francis, Hakeem, and Thomas.

They made sickening comments about how Quitten is all about winning and being a leader, and when he saw they may not win in Houston, he got out. That doesn't sound like a leader to me. If he is such a winner and leader, then he would have been confident in the Rockets' chances with him leading them this year.

BTW, anybody else think it's odd that Ainge quit coaching because of his family, but now he's a regular on TNT? I know announcing and coaching aren't even close in time spent, but he was so adamant about being with his family, I just think it's weird.

Is it any coincidence that we are the only team mentioned in the national anthem?

    I didn't think so!

A couple of nights ago Kenny Smith was on with Danny Ainge. I wonder if that worked out or if Kenny doesn't like him too much. Just remembering that Elie thing and Ainge being a punk.

I don't think it's weird at all that Ainge is working for TNT. Looking at Rudy T, you know he spends his entire day, everyday, thinking about basketball. There's tapes to be watched and plans to be made, practices, traveling, etc. etc. Plus all the performance stress. I don't have a very clear idea of what kind of work goes into commentating, but it seems to me there is no particular preparation for games other than following the league like any fan would, certainly no practices or anything like that. He might suffer a little stage fright, but no performance stress. And, as much as he may want to spend time with his family, I'm sure he still loves basketball. Besides, he's only like 40 years old and to never work again would drive him crazy for sure.

I think Hubie Brown was secretely cheering for the Rox. Everytime the Rox grabbed a board, he was begging them to run, and push the ball upcourt. He new that Hakeem should get atleast a few touches and all but cheered when Hakeem got them.

danny ainge was very complimentary of francis. I think the crew emphasized how they thought Chicago made a mistake i believe.

Ainge also said that they were thinking about picking kenny thomas, and he said through watching film, he didnt see much difference between Brand and Thomas.

I just can't beleive that. Rocket announcer biased. Maybee that's why when the rockets are on NBC they get NO RESPECT. Then for WB the rockets get too much respect from Calvin and Bill.

I just can't believe Calvin is biased towards the Rockets [IMG])

    That's for the input Vince.

You have been a world of help. If you are going to be a smart ass, you might try to make yourself comprehendable.

Portland @ Houston TNT had danny ainge and he sucked.

Remember the total cheap shot on Elie by ainge. ( ball in face on inbound )

We would like to get rookie Francis on the break for some easy scoops in the first quarter...
