Ton of options out there so I didn't make a poll. I normally carry a Brita filter with me and use it with tap water. I also drink Aquafina bottled water when I can .. but I'm interested in the home delivery services..... Does anyone still drink tap?
You couldn't pay me to drink tap diarrhea we call Houston water. We have a filtration system at work and at home it's either Smart water or Brita.
There was a reverse osmosis system installed on my kitchen sink when I moved in, but I think it needs some work. I tasted it once and was not impressed. So I just use the water filtration in my fridge.
I take the filtered water from my fridge and boil it. Once cooled down, I pour it in a large Brita filter container. I check afterwards with a TDS meter to make sure the water reads 000.
Just swap out the filters. The water filter on your fridge is just a single carbon. RO system will have a chemical carbon and a polishing carbon before the RO membrane. The best for drinking water is probably a sediment, with two carbon filters and no RO filters. The best for purity is a RO/DI system. A system using standard 10 inch housings is the best because filter changes will be WAY cheaper. Something like this
Culligan medallist whole house filter. Ice and water through another filter system on fridge. Also bottled water, we would literally move if it wasn't for the whole house filter making things right.
If you can be bothered to buy new cartridges for your RO system you might like the results better than what you are currently using.
Had a reverse osmosis system that started leaking all over the place, removed it; buying bottles since...
I drink tap never had a problem the first how many thousands of years did humans survive without filtered and bottled water? Now it's a necessity? lmao
I use a similar RO DI system but I ditched the storage tank, junks accumulate in there that you can't get rid off.
You know human thousand of years ago did not live a very long and healthy live, right? They didn't have cars, TV ... either...
