Indiana 3OT, or Mobley's shot in NY.

------------------
The media's Eddie Griffin NBA Draft player profile before he landed in the Rockets hands:

What he does: He was second in the nation in blocked shots and fifth in rebounds as a freshman last season; has good shooting range and even had a triple-double.
Reminds people of: Antawn Jamison
What he would do for his team: He could play either forward spot and runs the floor. He'll give his team a valuble inside scoring threat.

The media's review of the Rocket's draft after they got Eddie Griffin:

I'd give their draft a B. Sure, Griffin was highly touted but his behavior and attitude can be a chemistry wrecker. Needs to bulk up more. Not exactly NBA-ready. Not the best choice for Houston.

It's very sad. The "wonderfully talented prospect" one second, but the moment the media learns he'll be a Houston Rocket, it's criticize-o-rama.

I really just like this one because I got the title in Chat that night [IMG]

Although, the 3OT one was great!

Definitely the Dallas write up with the little note to Mark Cuban and the diss on Nash.

Despite the fact that this writeup was after a loss, I like this recap against the Clippers just because the pic of Langhi's goofy ass makes me laugh.

It wasn't a request, it was me begging on my knees going crazy in order to get the headline!

It would have been sweeter if the headline had been McRockets McBeat McGrady.

I like the 3OT one too, and not just because I came up with the title. That was such a sweet game.

It has to be the Spurs game or the Knicks game. Those were the two most exciting games (for rockets fans) of the year.

I think my favorite had to be my brain child "The Mo and Fro Show". I must have been high, or the Rockets must have been rolling that night for that line to come spewing out! [IMG]

First off, I would like to thank moestavern for a refreshing thread. I think this is the only thread w/out the discussion of "what's taking Hakeem so long....f**k him let's go after (fill in the blank)".

Anyway, to stay on topic, my favorite would have to be the 3OT. Maybe, it was cause I was still so pumped the next morning when I read it. Truly one of the most exciting game I've ever seen, especially for the regular season.

I was actually re-watching the Rockets/Spurs game that we won and I nearly had to turn the volume down to stop hearing all that **** those useless morons were saying about the Rockets. There was a bueatiful play by Francis who had drived passed 2 defenders, then passed Robinson and Duncan and spun up an impossible reverse lay-up that dropped. Unbelievable which they commented with "that was an after thouht" but gave the play of the game to an un-coordinated dribble and bank shot by Duncan. And even though David did have a good game they were commenting on him hitting wide open jumpers as if he should win MVP. Just pathetic, I can take a little but that was just rediculous.

BTW, anyone happen to know where they live and have access to a revolver? Any help will be apprieciated (think dats how u spell it)

So many good times this season , Although it was the worst game of the season Clutch and I Already had the Caption for The Kings game in the second Quarter "Royally Screwed" . 45 wins And Clutch (and Jeff once or twice) made sure we enjoyed everyone of them , Truly the best fan site on the net .

The Indiana Game was incredible because if you were in the chat room that night , You went through the emotional roller coaster of ups and downs . And when they finally won it was like all heaven broke lose .

My fav recap had to be the spurs game , I mean look at these words by Clutch

"Did I tell you guys how awful the TV announcers for the Spurs are? They block out league pass here in Austin since we're "technically" in Spurs country and the two clowns doing the San Antonio call are a total joke. These guys were ripping the Rockets apart and b****ing on every foul call, meanwhile, Derek Anderson could have tripped and fallen on the way back up the court and these jokers would have mentioned how graceful he was in doing so [IMG] .

They also kept calling San Antonio the team with "the best record in the NBA" -- note to lackeys: Philly has a better record."

"Duncan scored 4 straight to bring San Antonio within 6, then he bowled over Cato who drew a charge. Hilarious was listening to the Spurs TV announcers scream how this was a flop by Cato.... and they've been praising Daniels and AJ for drawing charges all night."

"Take that, San Antonio."

Classic
