The only thing reliable about Amigo's sweeping hook, is that he would get called for traveling at least 50% of the time. I have to go with the Olajuwon jump hook over the Olajuwon fadeaway. Both shots were un-blockable, but I always had a much better feeling when he was taking the jump hook from 5-7 feet in towards the basket, rather than fading away from 10-15. BTW, not enough players nowadays utilize the jump hook. I would like to see Eddie and especially Yao add this to their repertoire.
I voted for Barkely's backing down because when I first started watching the Rockets this was the move that the Rockets went to most often. (more that Hakeem's fade)
The Dream next to the sky hook is the most money shots in the history of the nba. I'm sure you could throw in jordan's baby dreamshake, but Hakeems baseline shot was unstoppable. All of the rest shouldn't even be considered.
I think Olajuwons fadeaway shot was the most unstoppable, but the most reliable was his hook shot in the paint.
I would vote for the 'Cato dunk on an alley oop'. When he does score, it's mostly on alleys...and he don't miss those that often.
The Dream Shake and almost any shot that followed. He posterized so many of the really good centers that way. The young O'Neal was dumb founded by it.
I don't understand why Moochie's 1 on 4 Saturday-Through-Friday Night Special isn't up here...The 'Fro just gets no love...
I don't know of too many shots in Rockets' history that has been as reliable as the Kelvin Cato alley-oop... ... and I'm being serious! Just the same, I voted for Hakeem's jumphook. Where's Lew Lloyd's fastbreak?!
