I forgot who it was that said they would bet on the Blazers beating the lakers , but I know it was 2 dudes. Well anyways , thank god for Robert Horry!!! Sweep!!! Again!!!!
Yeah it was me, I'll own up to it, all I can say is damn the Lakers and they aren't that good but the Blazers just couldn't do it. I don't blame Pip for moving over because he did the right thing by stepping infront of kobe and almost drawing the charging foul. I didn't get a good look at that pass at the end of the game but I'm pretty sure a 7'1 Shaq would screw up anybodies pass in. But it did look a bit like Wallace was being held down but thats ancient history now. I only hope that some other team can do what the Blazers weren't able to do and thats defeat the Lakers. I'm already beginning to look forward to next year as I'm sure all you people are also because you guys are Rockets fans. I still believe that next year either the Rockets or Blazers will win the championship.
It was me. I admit it. I was wrong. I can't live with myself anyomore. Take me away. Shoot me. Bury me. Cry for me. Grieve for me. Am I going overboard?
"...the Lakers aren't that good"? You've gotta be kidding. Then what does that make the Blosers? Like it or not, the Fakers own the NBA again this year. Everyone was basically fooled by their problems during the season, but we all should have known that they would turn it on once the playoffs started. This is why Phil Jackson is one of the most successful coaches in the NBA these days. The only team even close of dethroning them are the Mavs. Mr. Internet Radio has assembled some team up the interstate. They can shoot, defend pretty well and are deeeeep. The VanX pickup was the steal of the year in my opinion. Now that he is out of the playoff outpost known as Denver, he's showing some of the swagger and clutchness that made him great to watch in his Faker days.
You've got to be kidding with that. They may very well win the championship again, especially with Robinson hurting, but let's wait a little longer before dismissing any regular season problems and thinking that they "flipped the switch". They beat one of the most highly combustible and choking teams in recent history by 16 points over three games. It's nothing to look down on at all-- wins are wins-- but it's hardly time to crown them champions. There were some flaws in this series from the Lakers standpoint that I didn't come anywhere close to seeing a year ago. To be honest, Dallas looked a little better to me, against a more quality opponent. This doesn't mean that I'm taking the Mavs over LA... just saying that we don't know that much at this point. Once we see the top 4 in the West play each other, then things will be conclusive.
The Mavs are the only team that can beat LA. The other teams try too hard to match up with the Lakers, rather than just playing their own styles. The Mavs know they can't stop Shaq, and I doubt they'll try very hard. They will beat the Lakers by shooting a ridiculous percentage from outside.
