Ahem. Just kidding... sort of. I'm on KazaaLite 2.0.2 and while now it never shows me the home page, just the "This Page cannot be displayed" message, though I do remember it showing its home page having PornCow or something as a sponsor. Not sure about "Recomended downloads" though.

Though I will say this: it's HIGHLY unlikely that someone not using your computer just put that pr0n on there. I've never heard of anyone have Movies/Pictures uploaded onto their computer through Kazaa without their permission. I'm guessing you either downloaded it without realizing it (or maybe you did). That or maybe Mom and Dad got bored and were looking for something to SPICE THINGS UP!

 

Sorry I can't help you. I don't know the recommended files thing you're talking about. My guess was that it's probably her, or someone else got access to your computer and downloaded it. Say like a cousin or boyfriend. Or maybe you downloaded and forgot to delete it. I don't know, I need more info on this recommended files thing.

 

Just tell them that aliens forced you to download p*rn our they would fly down from the planet Vulcan and melt your brain.

 

So you want to sue the makers of Kazaa? Rather ironic considering that kazaa is mainly used for illegally acquiring/sharing songs and movies. Are your parents upset that you have p*rnography or are they upset that you may be illegally downloading songs and/or movies?

 

Spyware doesn't download p*rn. People on a computer do.

Quick, send me the p*rn and I'll analyze it. Two or three times. Then I'll let you know where it came from.

Seriously though, how old are you? It's just p*rn... It's not like they caught you... using it....
And if your sister is the one that accused you, I'll bet 20 Dollars that she downloaded it. Girls are notorious. How old is she? Would she like my phone number?

 

Hahaha sue them, thats a good one. It's like selling drugs and getting robbed of your drugs and reporting it to the police. All I know is the spyware monitors what sites you go to and it sends pop ups to your computer.

Some of the things you download might have some kind of spyware or adware in it to. I don't think it would put p*rn on your computer though. You should download Spybot search and destroy. It's free and it gets rid of all those spyware and adware.

 

That's a possibility, but don't you check and see what you download right after you download it? That is possible though. Also, do you purge your searches? If you don't you can always check what your search history was on Kazaa.

 

It is quite easy to download something that is named one thing, but the file name is something completely different.

A good way to check - open up kazaa and go to "my files" or whatever it is called. Kazaa will list your files (assuming the p*rn you are talking about is still in the base Kazaa shared files directory) and it will list it by "tag name". If you hold your mouse over the file, a yellow box will popup and give you all sorts of info, including the actual file name. This should tell you if you have accidently downloaded p*rn.

In the future, always check the filename of the stuff you are downloading - kazaa only displays the tag name or screen name by default.

Also, check out when the files were downloaded via Windows Explorer - maybe you can prove it wasn't you becuase it happened when you weren't in the house.
