Love her career choices. Broke mainstream in an her oscar demanding perf for Amelie. Then made a superb transition, in terms of a us audience, with the solid Dirty Pretty Things.
Why is it that only non-english native speakers use the word "u" instead of "you"? I've noticed a lot of chinese and europeans do the same thing around here.
I was going to remind you about Prince's early eighties popularization of the word "u", but then I realized that's probably a little before your time. I do notice a lot of younger people (of all nationalities) using abbreviations now. I'm guessing it's because of the popularity of communicating via pagers and chat boards -- it's just faster to type short words.
() ( supposed to be sideways..picture of an eye) don't agree with almost anything U say, but () would die for U'r right to say it... I'm not your lover, I'm not you're firend...I am something that you'll never comprehend...etc.
Dad blasted! Beat me to the Prince assosciation...and you always take my favorite seat at the meetings, and I just know that he likes you better....
LOL. No, I'll let the resident Ragin' Righties handle those -- I don't think they need any help from me.
Not only non-english native speakers. It's common on the Internet, especially when chatting in channels on IRC. I get annoyed when it's used in a somewhat more formal setting like umm... tech support, though. "B4 u try that IIRC there's a setting u *may* need to set. FWIW, I don't think it's needed, but let me check to see if I can find the setting. BBIAB. ... ... k... back. Ya set it like this..."
