If we draft MING, will Francis be willing to share the spotlight? How will the Rockets accept him? It really seems to me that Steve wants all of the spotlight and drafting MING threatens his domain.

I just hope Steve can become more of a team player.

what is important to steve is winning. thats why he tries so hard. if he just wanted the spotlight he would ask to be moved to the 2 where he could average 28 points per game.

I agree that the more stars we get on our team (already have Mobley and EG is developing...and Ming could be on the way) means we need our PG to be more of a distributor and team player. Hopefully Steve will do this, but if Ming turns into the next Walton then we won't have enough shots to go around. Mobley realistically needs to get back down to 15 or so a game, EG is going to want more shots, Steve will hopefully get back down to 15 a game, so it will be interesting to see if the team is willing to give up some shots.

If Ming develops I fear that Andre Miller would be the better choice as our PG.

I guess Sac and Dallas doesn't have enough balls either. The development of Ming and Griffin can only be good for Steve. Imagine Ming Mid-post( in between the shoebox and ft line) with a quick entry pass and cuts. Steve could even make the pass and rub his man off Ming to free himself up for a layup or something. Same goes for cat and any other perimeter player on the Rockets. If teams have to make sure a man and a half is on Ming or he will score or draw a foul, that gives Steve and Cat less to run into. I think Steve is a competitor and really wants to win. All this stuff about him leaving if we draft Ming doesn't make sense. Who's to say Williams won't do like him and refuse to play the combo type stuff Memphis wanted him to play?
