I ordered a something online and after a week I got the confirmation email that it shipped. My card was charged the day i got the email, and that was that. I paid for fedex shipping and theres been an ample amount of time for it to arrive yet it hasn't. I've emailed them at least 4-5 times and haven't got a single reply. They haven't given me a tracking number or anything.

Is there anything I can do if I really don't get my merchandise? Or do I just cut the losses. It wasn't something that was really expensive, but this isn't right. WHo do I contact to report sites such as these? Do I report it to my bank?

BTW, I found the site off of ebay and they plenty of positive feedback as well as some negative feedback. I dont have an ebay account so i thought i'd just go order it straight from the site for a couple bucks extra.

I've bought things online before and have had very positive experiences with the exception of this one.

if you paid by credit card- just contest the charges with the cc company. its pretty easy and straightforward.

i paid with my debit card. it came straight out of my bank account.

    The site is http://www.sportsmerchant.com/

I know the site isn't done real well and i guess it should have been a clue but i thought that if ebayers have used it and has worked for them it would be alright.

and fyi i was trying to get a houston rockets lanyard. It was pretty much the only place that I could find that had it.

Okay ill see what I can find on the fbi's site

First, attempt correspondance with the company and keep all records. Call them and record the times you called.

Second, inform your debit card bank of the fraudulent purchase. Most debit cards also have a CC company, so it is considered a credit card.

Third, inform the USPS of possible mail fraud. Your correspondance is your proof, and most likely the CC company or bank will back you up. You could also notify the BBB if you still think the business is legit...

Eventually you'll get a chargeback or refund.

AFAIK, there isn't a time limit on reporting mail fraud.
