Poeple are blaming Adelman, AB, Battier, Yao, ...Don't blame AB & Battier, they are great ROLE player, not star players. They have their limitations. Don't blame Yao, he is doing his best to recover from his injury. He is chanllenging human limitation right now. I repect a lot for what he is doing. Don't blame Adelman, he has done a good job since he become the rockets head coach.

From preseason games and these two regular games, I think what the rockets need the most is a closer, a star player. In the mavs and lakers games, we lost beccause of the last play. In GS game, we also had a chance in the 4th quarter. Rockets fans are pround of the depth of this team. But, a goup of ok players wouldn't win the title. The rockets team would not be a true condender untill they acquire a star player, a closer.

The Rockets need more two-way players.

Brooks, Martin, Budinger, Miller, Hell even Luis, get torched on a nightly basis.

Battier, Jeffries and Chuck might as well stay on one side of the court.

Yao is our only truly "Two-way" player.

I think Jordan Hill has that kind of potential. Play him Rick

The Kings weren't the best man-to-man defenders. Bibby, Stojakovic, Divac, Bobby Jackson..you could hardly call those guys defenders.

I thought it was understood we needed one more star player? Problem is Melo wants to go home, CP3 will most likely follow him and that leaves....

But according to someone on this forum, AB is the only superstar and the best player on this team.

weird....morey just said the exact opposite thing earlier today.

Have you noticed the over 110 ppg avg in 2 games?

we actually scored in the end at a high percentage, scola has had layups...we just couldnt get any stops at the end. You're never going to win in the 4th by trading baskets if you entered the quarter with a deficit.

We have one, I think we just need to adjust how we use Yao's minutes, to ensure he is in at the end of the game. Play him less in the first half a little and put him in at the 6 minute mark in the 4th quarter.

A trade isn't likely to come anytime soon, so I think we either do this or someone has to step up big. I think I actually trust AB more than anyone else besides Yao at the end of the game. He can tear apart the defense and find Scola on the baseline or Battier in the corner, those two I have complete faith in to make a game winning shot.

With all due respect, maybe what we need is for Clutch to be the sole thread starter here for a month, until all the knees quit jerking, folks calm down, and the team wins a few games.

Finally, an intelligent post. After two games, everyone acts like the sky's falling. I like having the ball in AB's hands at the end of the game. Hopefully Adelman will make some adjustments and the team will close out games better. It's a long season.

First of all, Bobby Jackson was a VERY solid defender.

Secondly, trying to recreate a team that didn't win a damn thing is probably not the intelligent way to do it...

    Not with the new CBA.

Superstars forming their own big three like the one in Miami will probably not happen again.
