What makes this even worse is that this article is dated for today, so there is no excuse for him not to mention the addition of Rice offensively, and his rebounding. Rice is a career 4 rpg player. He doesn't talk about the improvement of Cato, the addition of Willis, or the solid play of the rookies. What is this obsession with Phoenix. The Suns replaced Kidd and Robinson with Marbury and Wallace. That is a serious downgrade. Chemistry is a joke, and the Rockets are much better then Phoenix. Without a doubt. But the media sees "star power" with Marbury and assume they're contenders. And the Clippers!?

Why does it matter so much to you what Dan Patrick thinks? So what, we just have to continue winning and the respect will come. Its just a matter of time.

How many games do you think that Dan Patrick sees of the Rockets a year? like 4, 5 maybe?

Whatever he says, good or bad, must be taken with a grain of salt - and likewise for most national sports editorialists.

I think we saw on Thursday that at this point of the season, there is not a lot of difference between the Rockets and Clippers. L.A. was one FT away from being 1-1 (as well as the Rockets) Thursday.

I think perhaps Dan Patrick's move to game/team commentary is not unlike a few other ESPN journalists who made the questionable move from outcome reporting to speculative journalism....Keith Olbermann, Chris Meyers, etc.

Good luck Dan...may you beat the Swami's odds.

Don't hold your breath. We didn't get any respect after winning back to back Championships.

The article may be a little off, but I really don't think it's disrespecting us. He says good things about Steve and Eddie and gives us props for last season. He even says we could make it. Calm down fellas.

He'll be proven wrong in the end.

Rockets seem to just get by there first 2 games...I think they really need to put forth a all around effort and you might see a artical or two about the Rockets playing well together so on and so forth...... No excuses tonight they have a couple of games under there belt.... Cato needs to step deffensively in a major way tonight....and rice needs to knock down some shots earlie so we can establish our offense....tonight well be the first true test to see where we are at this point...... I hope there is atlest 12,000 or so out there tonight....the clippers game was so empty you could hear people from courtside chanting **** during free throws all the way up from my 13$ tickets.....there was no vibe in the crowd till the end of the forth or so....... Rockets can start to open some eyes atlest here in houston if they can take the wolves out by say a margin of 10 or so......
