and what would they offer for him?

Allegedly Minnesota was trying to give Jefferson for him and Indiana wanted nothing to do with that. If Indiana decided he needed to be moved, speculate on who would want him and what his trade value would be.

Bird knows the Pacers won't get another franchise player unless they draft or trade for one. Superstar players don't want to sign there. Trading Granger will kill ticket sales, and the team has been losing money for years. So unless they can get a star in return...

I know one team in Houston who would die to acquire the guy.

I'd imagine some teams like Portland, Dallas, SA in the West and Chicago, Philly, Detroit in the East. I think the West would see him as a difference maker while in the East minus Chicago would see him as a STRONG building block.

I like Granger, but he is like Kevin Martin a very efficient mid tier star player.

Not a guy to build around....not a Superstar.

I doubt the Pacers will trade him.

They have some great young talent in Magnum Rolle, Lance Stephenson, and Paul George.

Don't forget about Roy Hibbert as well.

Sadly, a superstar is not going to just fall out of a coconut truck to save the Rockets any time soon. If he is the best player we could get, we should get him.

I don't get why people compare him to Martin. Martin never made the all star team and is never and probably will never be as good defensively as Granger.

Granger is a top 5 player at his postion while Martin won't even crack the top 8.

Granger is a pure stud, plain and simple. Indiania needs a point guard, we have Brooks and supposedly they are interested in Lowry. A possible trade centerpieced around Brooks or a sign and trade with Lowry should at least be considered.

Plus, I think they are prepared to lose Granger because Bird just drafted his possible replacement in Paul George. If he pans out, he could be the next T-Mac or even Granger.

There's nothing wrong with a tall small forward playing for the ROX

    Starting lineup:
    Brooks
    Martin
    Granger
    Scola
    Ming

Nothing but Shooters surrounding Scola and Ming....It's Amazing

Do you think they would do Brooks and Ariza or Brooks and an expiring?

    Granger >>>> Kevin Martin...

Granger would be our 2nd best player on our squad, this guy can flat out play if we get this guy it doesnt matter who we face ala Heat or Lake show we will straight mirk these fools.

Look at this starting 5

    Pg- Brooks
    Sg - Kevin Martin
    Sf - Granger
    PF - Scola
    C - Yao

    Bench

Lowry, Battier, Ariza, Pattterson, Hill, Buddinger, JT, and so on.

How the hell do we aquire Granger by keeping both Brooks and Lowry?

Indiana would start the discussions around one of them because of there desire for a point guard.

    I would do a Brooks + Budinger + Jeffries + Battier + Hill for Ford + Granger

    Sign Brad Miller

    Lowry/Ford
    Martin/Taylor
    Granger/Ariza
    Scola/Patterson
    Yao/Miller

I like Granger but that is a lot to give up for him. I think Brooks+Battier+Jeffries+Knicks Pick this yr for Granger+Ford is more likely to be done by Morey.

The thought of Martin Brooks and Granger on the perimeter is damn scary .. raining three's all game ..
And also scary defensively .. the blessing that we dont appreciete is that we have two GREAT perimeter defenders that can be utilized in all situtions ..
