Personally, I love Texas. I know I am homer but it is a perfect and beautiful state. It is a large state and there are plenty of fun things to do here in Texas. You can travel to Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and a lot of cities in Texas. Everything is bigger in Texas. I believe God put me in the right state. What about you, guys?
Love TX, but Cali... by far, far, far over every other. Each state has its own advantages, but the weather, scenery, and overall crunkness of CA is unmatched... not even close. Expensive yet still growing rapidly. Beast. The "however" suggests CA and OR are not only "up there", above bluebonnets.
Texas as far as I'm concerned. But I've only been to Nevada and Florida. I passed some states on a road trip but I guess that won't count.
I was on a commuter flight to Arkansas and had to land in Memphis instead; I had some business in Owensboro, KY another time and had to fly into Evansville, IN. I just get the sense that people in the South and bluegrass have just given up. I miss Omaha and don't think I've seen another small city as clean, but you drive 50 miles in any direction and people stop using street names to give directions; very disconcerting if you're not used to that. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon and Utah all seem like they'd be fine to live in.
Colorado, love everything about it, very glad I've had the opportunity to live there for most of the past 6 years Wondering about these responses. I could potentially be moved there for a short term stay (3 years) but I don't know much about it and am hesitant to go
