I don't think Steve has a shoe deal, but I was wondering what shoes he wears on the court. ------------------ Smokey sez "Stay in School!" [This message has been edited by Smokey (edited April 29, 2000).]
He has a deal with Reebok and his new line of blacktop shoes will be out on May 26th. Footlocker has an exclusive deal with them they will only be sold there. ------------------
Pick up the latest SLAM mag to see it in Rocket colors but here's the basic design: http://footlocker.com/catalog/stylesummary.cfm?TID=1000-50290014442150140481718&VID=shoes&branch_id=54447&group_id=422216&bottom=1
Reebok Technique DMX.....nice shoe. I own a pair and they are comfortable. I just wish I could get my hands on a pair of the red ones he wore in the dunk contest. Supposedly only two pair were made. ------------------ HOOP-T Hey Shaq, Acme called, and they want their bricks back!
Uhmm... I think the "H-Bombs" came from that smoking parody commercial about how only smoking kills 1 in 3 people. 3 contestants in the contest, and one of them lands and blows up. You should watch the rest of the commercial. -Elie17 anyone try on the helium shoes by converse?? i did-- they suck. ------------------
Wong- Where did you hear that Steve's line of shoes will be out May 26th? I remember at the beginning of the season Reebok saying Steve would have his own line of shoes by next season, but I haven't heard anything about the ones coming out in May. I looked at some footwear sites and couldn't find it, and I was just wondering where you heard it from. Is there a picture anywhere on the net that you've seen? (I'm assuming they're different from the Technique DMX.) ------------------
The Cat, I went to Footlocker to return some shoes and I asked the salesman if he had heard any news about Steve's shoes and he told me they were coming out on the 26th and they would only be sold at Footlocker. He showed me a press release and they looked kinda funky, all black with a strap covering the laces, similar to some stuff Nike has out. Maybe they'll look better in person, but don't take my word for it, go to Footlocker and check it out. By the way, does anyone else have a hard time finding Reeboks at stores. I must have gone into 7-8 shoe stores and all they had was an abundance of ugly Nikes (especially Jordan's line) and the only Reeboks were Iverson's.
Does Nike still own the rights to Jordan? I thought he put out his own shoes now. I could be wrong...just wondering. ------------------ You can't stop F&Brule, you can only hope to contain him.
Sure, the shoes are important. But, what kind of socks does he wear? ------------------ We will ball.
Hehe, my specialty To answer your Nike question, Jumpman (Jordan's company) is a subdivision of Nike. He still is a part of Nike, but has his own line of shoes, that don't say Nike on them. ------------------ Rockets fans wanted at hoopsboards.com Draft Chat, NBA Chat, Team Chat, and more!
