Makings of a seriously fun thread.

    Or a locked thread.

What the hell, lets bump it :D . I personally think Yao, barring injuries (of course) will do the best this year. I'm assuming that Artest will play 4, which is a complete toss up since he is actually more likely to go 3. But if he does play 4 I think playing the paint will be a lot easer for Yao due to the fact that defenders need to now worry about the legitimate scoring threat of Ron. I'm seeing an increase in scoring and rebound for Yao, maybe even a double double night in and night out (he pretty much did that without artest). Thought, I could be wrong and the scoring might be more evenly spread out between the big three which could actually lower Yao's ppg.

I thought Scola was that legitimate scoring threat at the 4.

Battier will make this year the best year in his career. I expect his minutes go down but not his ppg. I always consider the coach's decision is the factor which limits battier's offense. battier will average 10+ it's just nth difficult for him. With so many nights scoring 2-6 in the season he still manage to average around 9 in the end. it's all about his will

I say Tracy of course if he stays healthly. He showed us last year he can still be explosive scorer at about 28 ppg when he is 100%.

Artest doesn't need to score 20 ppg on this team, so I don't expect that.

I think Battier will see limited playing time and will be used mainly to play defence. :p

Mac for MVP. (Continues from last season)
Ron Ron Sixth Man of the Year. (He'd be huge off the bench and finishing games)
Adelman Coach of the Year. (Robbed last year)
Shane Defensive Player of the Year. (Finally)
Yao Finals MVP. (You know what that would mean)

    Is that greedy? :D

Tracy easily I think. He by far is our best player and now he has to play absolutely no defense.

I expect Tmac, Ron, and Yao to start together and for all their individual stats to go down. Tmac and Yao already talked about sacrifice last year, adding someone as talented as Artest is only going to magnify that point. If I had to pick someone who would be the best it would be Yao, only because he should be seeing far less double teams this year.

Luther Head. He will be traded and suck for another team, which will benefit us greatly when we play against them.

Dang, you love you some T-Mac for things I criticize him for. Absolutely no defense? Well given his minutes that would probably knock us down about 5 notches in defensive categories. Still an interesting thought. :D

dkoune, uh you'd better qualify what "best" means. Artest & T-Mac are capable of hitting 4 statistical categories pretty hard in any given game. Yaos probably going to outscore & rebound them (2+ blocks Artest could do that).

Put these guys together and you might have some of the stat lines Dream produced (j/k, but not totally).

So to answer the question I'll just say this: Yao has more upside. :D

it's amazing how mcgrady can play with his body like that. For a person who has 15 degrees of scoliosis he shouldn't even last in the Nba that long. Imagine a healthy mcgrady with no scoliosis, that will be crazy i won't be surprise if he will surpass MJ.
