I got to thinking... with all this Soccer mania and the basketball draft going on... that I can talk to someone who's had the pleasure of playing the same position I have played in soccer and we can talk about who's better at the same position in pro basketball, etc., and what I would have liked to play while in High school, college, or any other organized sport...

I think we can do this for sports with specialty positions, but not with Tennis... I would have listed Tennis... :D

What positions have you played in each sport?

    List in order of frequency:
Soccer - goalie, midfielder, right defense
Football - punter, quarterback, wide receiver, cornerback, free safety
Basketball - shooting guard, small forward

Baseball - light hitting, good defensive 2B
Basketball - I was a wing player that couldn't shoot much, played inside occasionally because that was my mindset, but I didn't really have the size

Karate - I was the guy that kicked, and sometimes punched, but the one skill I could never learn....was the skill of love

    Why not tennis?

In doubles, you have one who plays closer to the net to do most volleys and and another staying behind for baseline rallies.

You don't pick which stays back and who plays up front. It switches on every serve unless you are the one serving.
