I havent seen the Passion yet but I heard it was a good movie. It got me thinking about other biblical stories that would make good movies. I'd like to see a movie about David and Goliath and the battle between the Philistines and the Isrealites. I think a movie like that could have some incredible special effects.

Not really from the bible, but has anyone ever read Ramayana or Mahabharat. Two great epics of Hindu origin. I've never read it, but have seen the Indian tv serials. The Mahabharat especially is simply the best piece of literature ever written. War scenes, intense drama, love, deciet, it basically has everything a director could hope for.

Even the Indian drama version is the best thing I have ever seen on television. Me and my friends have a silly little list of things seen on tv or theater. My list ranks as the following:

    Mahabharat
    Rockets championships
    LOTR series

The story of Moses and his receiving the Ten Commandments. D'oh, there are already about 50 movies about that. Maybe the story of Job could be interesting to watch, with it's Clash of the Titans kind of vibe.

The one about Jesus rising from the grave, and telling his followers to celebrate the event by telling their children that a giant rabbit hid bite-sized candy around their living room.

The Book of Daniel - it had the fiery furnace with Meshach, Shadrach, and Abednego as well as the handwriting on the wall and getting thrown into the lions den.

How about Adam and Eve with Jennifer Aniston playing Eve? Just the thought of her running around with nothing but leaves on.....oh boy, I'm going to hell...

    "it's" should be "its"

Clash of the Titans = Best Movie Ever. It's just a huge cheese fest, and I love every minute of it.

A movie centered around John the Baptist would be pretty neat. It has probably already been done, though.

I'm not trying to be picky but it is Revelation not Revelations. It was a single revelation not plural. Sorry, I did a really cool study on the Book of Revelation at Houston First Baptist and ever since then it kind of drives me nuts. I do agree it would be cool to see it on film.

I'd do the book of Judges. As a movie, it might end up a little aimless, but they've got some whacky stuff in there that would be fun. I'm also tempted to do Leviticus. Not much of a story there since it is a lot about the Law, but if you could make it interesting, everyone would know you were a genious.

Btw, sci-fi novelist Orson Scott Card has done a couple of books about women in the Bible. He's done one about Sarah and I think one about Deborah. I don't know how many altogether, nor have I read any of them (though he's pretty good for a sci-fi writer). But, I thought it was a good idea for novels that run in the same genre.
