In an attempt to change the discussion from the monster bailout thread, what do you think should happen now?

I'd like to see the Dems go back and write a completely new bill... a progressive and sensible bill... with true oversight and taxpayer protections... and pass it with a party line vote if necessary.

    We need new leaders.

We have none right now. Washington is divided into factions, and right now it seems none of those schmucks cares about the rest of us. They have got to go. Democrat, Republican, I don't care. They have all failed. America had a chance -- a chance to show the world that we could rise out of our divisions and lead the world back onto the road to prosperity. We failed, because our leaders couldn't get their heads out of you-know-where.

I wish the election was next week. It really sounds like the only solution right now. If only Americans could somehow arise and stage a silent revolution by ejecting every single one of these morons out of office at the same time...

I think the Dems are lined to the pockets with bank money as much as the Reps are. Another iteration of the same lousy bill might come to pass.

I wonder which presidential nominee will become its saving grace. I honestly don't know.

Isn't that basically what the Republicans and the 97 "No" Dems want?
