With Hollywood apparently running out of ideas and remaking everything from old tv shows to old movies into modern cinema pieces what movie would you like to see remade and who would you want to star in it? If there is a remake that is already filming or about to be released you can name it too.
The Killing by Stanley Kubrick. While the original is one of my favorite movies of all-time, it's not widely popular, so I think a remake could be done without the typical annoying movie aficionados freaking out about another remake.
The Maltese Falcon is one of my favorite movies but if they were to try to remake it I'm sure it would turn out like Ocean's 11, with too many big name stars and a story line that didn't resemble the original.
The Never Ending Story This time I want them to stick to the book and I want to see the kid get greedy and attack the Ivory Tower. It seemed like they took more than half of the story out to make that movie.
Can you imagine the special effects they could add to Citizen Kane nowadays? Rosebud could be way cooler than a sled, too. Maybe a killer robot! And imagine Keanu in the lead role. Really though, I just want to see a re-remake of Star Wars. This time, @#$! Greedo doesn't shoot first.
A couple of years back I read that there was going to be a Westworld remake with Schwarzenegger in Brynner's role. Get this, Stallone and Willis were going to play the two friends. I guess being Governator got in the way.
haha ~ Rosebud could have a cool catch phrase too like "Asta la vista, Kaney" They kind of fixed that in the dvd addition. Han barely shoots first... still very weak
A remake of Hackers, where they actually use something faster than a dial up modem to do all that insane hacking.
I would like all the Star Wars movies remade that came after The Empire Strikes Back. And keep Lucas far, far away.
