This tree is growing in my back yard. I just trimmed it and was wondering if I could use the branches in my grill for smoking wood Here's the entire tree This is a branch Thanks...
Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep snipping off my neighbor's Pecan branches in the middle of the night.
Not an OAK: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oak Not an ELM: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elm I have a young ELM. A buddy gave me one he got as an offspring and I have it in my backyard growing now.
it looks like a normal tree... they have a bunch of those around houston..i don't think its anything unusual. i saw this one site that had info on the types of trees that grow in houston but i cant find it anymore
It looks like a live oak. Don't try smoking with it, or else your meat will be completely black....believe me.
If those btanches hang over your property, I believe that you can cut'm in the middle of the day (just don't kille tree). (And if they don't hang over yet...and it's a pecan... they will be soon or later)
