My aunt, who lives in League City, snapped the following photograph of a snake eating a frog this morning as she went to load her truck.

My question is, what kind of snake is it?

From this website it appears to be a blotched water snake...

[Edit] Here's another link of one eating a frog as well

Damn, if I saw that it would freak the crap out of me. Only snakes I'm use to seeing in person are those garden snakes and the one in the pic isn't one of those little guys.

That there's a League City Viper: it'll eat your family as an appetizer and still have room for Esteban's. Or so I've heard...

Oh MY GAWD! That things huge! I would freak the **** OUT if I saw that thing. I'm 6ft 190 pounds and even a Garter snake freaks me out. I hate the way snakes look and the way they move. Yikes.

    That is a small snake.

Bear Grylls uses that to floss his teeth after eating a big snake.

    Holy crap...that thing is huge.
If I saw that thing around my house I would grab my gun and shoot it.

That looks exactly like the snake that turned up in my apartment complex a few years back. My neighbor below me woke up with one of those guys in his bedroom and understandably flipped the eff out. He managed to chase it out to his front porch, where it sat for a very long time and just stared at everyone.

The poor snake was probably ten times as freaked out as everyone else. Then my other ******* neighbor proceeded to beat it to death with a frying pan.

    That's a scary snake.

We've been seeing a lot of snakes in our hood lately.
