I'm just interested in the diversified musical tastes. Personally, I'm a classic rock, blues-rock guy. Call me old, but I like guitar solos based on the blues structure (you musicians will understand). But what do you guys like? Don't worry, you won't get bashed for your musical preferences, unless it involves Sum41 or Green Day
I like lots of music I'm a hip hop fan first and foremost. But I also love R&B, Metal, Rock, Jazz, Blues, etc.....
you should listen to green days Kerplunk album from waaay back in the day before you dis them. seriously its good stuff. ***matter of fact*** found a good song from kerplunk on youtube. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/fpEjNcQDCo4&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/fpEjNcQDCo4&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I have a pretty wide range of music tastes. The only music I really can't stomach for long is pop and country pop. I won't put a hugely diverse range of music on my MP3 player. Sometimes I will want some hard hitting metal, sometimes it's trance, sometimes it's Johnny Cash, but I tend to stick to one genre at a time.
Too many to name - really. Let me just name artists and that would give you a better idea: Currently, I have been on a funk/soul/R&B kick with Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. I really don't like any other soul (with the exception of James Brown) although I do like Parliament/Funkadelic/George Clinton/Bootsy Collins on the funk side. Before I got on my Marvin and Stevie kick, I was wearing it out on Joni Mitchell and Van Morrison. Other favorites: Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Cream, Genesis, The Byrds, The Band, Roxy Music, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Doors, The Cure, The Smiths, Radiohead, Beck, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, Sigur Ros, The Cars, Queen, The Who, Yes, Rush, ELP, The 1st Jeff Beck Group, Love, Boston, The Beatles, Bloc Party, Blondie, Brian Eno, Can, Kraftwerk, Cocteau Twins, Coldplay, Talk Talk, Horace Silver, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Kate Bush, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, The Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol, Larry Coryell, Nick Drake, The Police, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. I think that covers it.
I like death metal and folk music, but lately I've only been listening to the Rock Band songs. My band depends on me to know how these songs go. I will not let them down.
