I just found a dozen of these crawling around on the ceiling of my pantry. I have no friggin idea what they are. I'm thinking they might have come from the big bags of rice I buy from Hong Kong Food Market since I sometimes find little bugs like that in there. I put my thumb there to give it some scale.
Wow, that was fast and looks exactly what they are. Especially after reading the page it fits right in with my rice theory. Thanks a lot!
Weevels...is this variety as tough to get rid of as the others? The ones that I've seen require you to trash all of your grain products in the pantry. The wierdest pantry bug we ever saw was some kind of moth that found some old Hershey's kisses and friggin' ate through the tinfoil to get to the chocolate.
...Cigarette beetles may feed on pyrethrum powder strong enough to kill cockroaches, and drugstore beetles often feed on poisonous rodent baits containing strychnine. ... Bad-ass bugs!
LOL thanks... don't tell my cousins and their nail salons that though... they're always complaining about my cuticles
Alot of times when I buy Honey Bunches of Oats, there seem to be bugs in them already. Weird! No ther cereal I buy has these bugs.
Yonkers, is that using the MACRO mode of your camera? Take another photo using Macro (usually the "flower" side of the options on the buttons) lense. That will give it a LOT of detail that could help, but I meant to post this at the beginning of the thread.
Your kidding right? I love this cereal. I never look at cereal when I eat it, I just assume its bugs free.
