I think reggie bush is a better choice for the texans than Matt Leinart, or is a good choice to get a nice O-Line.

If it wasn't for REGGIE BUSH in this draft I would say fix the OL and draft D'BRICK and not care about anyone else in this draft.

The past years you kinda just waited for Draft Day but wasn't really sold on a player (maybe Sean Taylor for some of you guys) but this year is diff ..... I'm hoping all these LOSING = REGGIE BUSH!

REGGIE BUSH is like Barry Sander/LT in 1 !

I'm taking the sensible approach, trade the pick which should be in HUGE/EPIC demand for help where we really need it, which is everywhere else.

I would rather get BUSH for a sure thing than watch our GM trade for more picks and drafts more Travis Johnson, Babin players!

Well the key is to have a new GM making the picks. We should be able to get atleast a high number one this year, and another one or two first day picks and a first next year for this pick, you certainly have to consider it, especially if we don't have that boob Casserly picking for us.

There was a similar poll a month ago and the majority went for not drafting Bush. including myself.

I was a fool. I have seen him in 2 games and now feel that we NEED to draft him.

    He's incredible.

4 Teams left with a shot at the #1 pick and I like our shot at Bush

    Jets 2-10
    Packers 2-10

I believe both of them would look into drafting Matt Leinart to replace Favre/Pennington. Since New York has another QB name Eli to match up with and GB has lived of Farve for so long they would want another "great" QB to replace him.

49ers 2-10 is the ONLY team I would be afraid of drafting BUSH.

SO TEXANS please lose the last game of the year in San Fran!

I couldn't agree more. I too wanted something else, but now I'm convinced he's gold. I wish there were smoe way to get Vince in here because he's a favorite of mine, though. Ahh, maybe he'll wait till next year, and we'll have a decent o-line by then. If Carr's not performing, maybe we'll make a run at him.

Anyways, for now, if I'm GM, I'm drafting Bush and trading Davis for any kind of pick I can get. That pick is getting used on a lineman.

Didn't the Packers already draft Favre's replacement last year in Aaron Rodgers?

Even if we draft Reggie Bush first.. isn't there a good chance that a solid OL drops into the 2nd round?

Rodgers kind of fell into their lap last draft. They're in a interesting situation if they got the #1 pick. Leinart would be the perfect replacement for Favre, but passing up on Bush and going for a QB again this season would be tough, especially since Rodgers was a potential #1 pick last season.

Yeah, I can't imagine them passing on Bush. That would entice Favre to comeback one more year if they had him.

Seriously. We simply cannot trust our GM's talent evaluation abilities. Travis Johnson??? I'm really glad the we passed on Derrick Johnson to get this guy who I haven't seen make a play all year.

No ****. A buddy of mine and I were at the draft and booed extremely loud when that pick was announced. We immediately left in not a very good mood.

I think Casserly deserves far more of the blame than Capers.

No joke- with 'crush the franchise' Casserly I don't have much hope no matter who the new coach is.

Unless Casserly goes it will takes us several more steps back to get back on track.

I've been a proponent of trading down ever since the #1 pick became a distinct possibility. The Texans suck EVERYWHERE! They have big holes at linebacker, secondery, d-line, o-line, wide receiver, and tight end. If anything, the two areas of the team that might improve next year without personnel changes are at QB and RB. Guess what? Those are the two positions Leinert and Bush plays.

Want to see which QBs and RBs made the Super Bowl the past 4 years? Brady, Dillon, Antwain Smith/Kevin Faulk, McNabb, Westbrook, Stephen Davis, Jake Delhomme, Kurt Warner, Marshal Faulk, Rich Gannon, Wheatley/Garner, Brad Johnson, Micheal Pittman. That is NOT a big collection of top picks we're talking about. McNabb was a #2 pick, but Philly had Koy Detmer and Bobby Hoying at QB. The same with Indy spending the #2 on Marshall Faulk, whose leading rusher the year before had Roosevelt Potts.

With Casserly as GM on draft day:

"The Houston Texans has traded the #1 pick to the 49ers for their #2 pick and a 2nd rounder"

"With the first pick of the 2006 NFL draft the 49ers select REGGIE BUSH"
"With the second pick of the 2006 NFL draft the Houston Texans selects ..... Jonathan Scott of Texas"

You can't say take Bush or trade down until you know what deal is.

How about a top 5 first and a top 5 third this year plus a #1 next year (from a team that may not improve their record much)? You'd have #5,#33,#65, #70 and something like #80 from last year's trade. Plus 2 #1's next year that could net you a trade up for Vince Young to play behind Carr for one or two years (depending on which option you pick up) You could get a top 2 LT, a top 3 TE, and a 3rd round pick at Middle LB, RT, DT

That's about what NY gave SD for Manning (the #4 not 5). And I don't think anyone would say RB is a Texan weakness.
