Heading into the 2018/19 season, it appeared that Vucevic’s days in Orlando were numbered. After all, over the course of the previous two offseasons, the club had drafted Jonathan Isaac and Mohamed Bamba, and locked up Aaron Gordon to a lucrative new four-year contract. With Vucevic’s contract set to expire in 2019, he looked like a prime trade candidate.

A deal for Nikola Vucevic is worth exploring. His market value of first year is $25 million?

Capela, Shumpert and a first-round pick could be very intriguing for the rebuilding Magic as their backcourt depth isn’t great. Give them Chris Paul and 2 Firsts?
There is also the potential to make this trade something bigger, though it could get challenging. The Magic had a lot of frontcourt depth but they could look to just shed some contract and take back some more picks.

    A. He's a FA this summer - https://www.spotrac.com/nba/orlando-magic/nikola-vucevic-8067/
    B. Even assuming that wasn't true, unless Houston craters and the first rounder is a lottery pick, the only piece of significant value in that offer is Capela. Shumpert is just another guy at this point. And as you say, Orlando has a logjam in the frontcourt as it is - trading a big for a big doesn't alleviate that. Eric Gordon could be interesting though...

Since he's a free agent, I guess the answer to your question is "A whole lot more cap room than Houston has."

Bigbum could've filled out a whole page by himself this offseason if there was an active random trade thread

    1) We have no assets of value to offer them (or anybody else)

    2) Didn't he disappear in the playoffs? Why look for a post-season disappearing big man when Capela is filling that role nicely?
